Ratovantany is a derived Phasmid closely related to the genus Achrioptera who was found dormant inside a colossal ancient structure in the Mahajanga Province, Madagascar. The carvings on the walls of Ratovantany’s temple describe her as a guardian of life, and it shows! With her temple and even exoskeleton being host to multiple unique micro-ecosystems.

Ecology
Ratovantany is an herbivore, though she gets most of her nutrients from the symbiotic lichens and mosses that live on her exoskeleton, which share the energy they collect from photosynthesizing. She can eat food however and will feed on any vegetation she finds particularly appetizing, especially the gifts of fruits and vegetables her followers leave her.
Ratovantany has also has a symbiosis with many of the Earth's remaining Jotnar, particularly Sobek

Around 2500 BCE, Ratovantany was among the many Jotunn that participated in Ragnarok, fending off Surtr and its army. She was among the very few to survive the great war and was left as the last of her species.
2012 Battle of Seoul
Ratovantany assisted Sobek and Geror Abbott with battling the Baikalmalgam, which had been rampaging across East Asia for the past week, when it had made landfall in the South Korean city of Seoul.

- Flight - Ratovantany is capable of flight, using her large, ornately-patterned wings. She can reach speeds of 340 mph when in full flight.
Relationship With Humans
Ratovantany has been referred to as The Goddess of Life, and is extremely benevolent towards all forms of life, including humanity, though if provoked this stick insect will go on the offensive to defend herself using her giant raptorial forelimbs, sturdy wings and a variety of chemicals to send off any aggressor. Ratovantany’s thick armor usually renders any attack non-threatening however.
The Church of Ratovantany is a small religious group that has a single church in New York City dedicated for those who worship the ‘Goddess of Life’ to pray and give respect to the Kaiju, once yearly the church organizes an expedition to deliver the offerings from the church-goers to Ratovantany’s nest. These offerings usually consist of fruits and vegetables.
