Overview
Castle Admonishment, most often referred to in short-hand as "Admonishment," is a Derivative Scope of the "Castle Series;" an online animated mini-series created by the immensely talented Oscar Johansson. Full credits and rights for his fantastic work belong to him.
Sparse elements from other similar web series are also included in this Setting: Individual credits and rights belonging to their respective creators.
Written by LordSkorne7, with art and proofreading provided by WomanofAmaranth (Ink). Castle Admonishment is used with full permissions given by DeletionQuality, the best community of artists online, and home for the Castle Series; proud partner of Amaranth Legacy.
Castle Admonishment serves as a fan-made reimagining and continuation of the Castle Series, using all extant canon materials as a base. However, the vast majority of all contents part of this Scope are remixed to a degree it is largely wholly original.
The Castle Series was the primary piece of media which inspired me (LordSkorne7) to become an author, with my Scope: Imagindarium's Creation, having been inspired by it to an immense degree. It is also my favorite piece of media ever created. I owe this series a lot and this Scope is meant to serve as my tribute to it.
Setting
Preamble
It is the year 2005, and the planet Earth has reached its breaking point:
Much of the planet's natural resources have been left near depleted; both from human greed, and natural disaster.
The world's oil reserves are almost exhausted, the rainforests nearly gone; many species driven to extinction, and the ocean tides rising to swallow coastal cities.
It is no exaggeration to say that Earth is dying...
In this chaos, remaining nations of the world have battled in a decades long Resource War, fighting one another over the scant few resources that remain.
It was during this war that a high-tech military outfit based out of the Remnant United States of America; "Delta-5," launched covert attacks on enemy organizations and nations.
The most prominent weapon used was the unit "Joint Task Force 2," more predominantly known as the "Elite Team."
The Elite Team distinguished themselves in the war as an infiltration unit, eventually proving themselves to be the most capable group of men on the planet, with their leader, and Infiltration Expert; Etrius, particularly distinguishing himself.
However, in an event of "gross negligence, insubordination, and dereliction of duty," Etrius would be discharged from service; subsequently disappearing from public life.
A paramilitary operation of the Allied Nations' Department of Interdimensional Exploration Research and Reconnaissance Operations (DIERRO) known as "Project Castle" has finally unlocked the secrets of interdimensional travel, discovering one in the form of a dark and desolate waste devoid of all life.
After four months of exploration of an endless, lonely vast, a lone Castle would be discovered. A team of scientists would be sent in for investigation, yet none would ever be found again.
Regardless: something within the Castle would capture the attention of Project Castle’s enigmatic leader, known only as the "Superior".
Whatever resides within its depths harbors an unspeakable "Evil," but also immense power: perhaps enough to restore the Earth.
With this revelation, Etrius and his former teammates are forced out of "retirement," stepping forward as forerunners in what may be humanity’s most pivotal moment in all history.
Format
Castle Admonishment is intended to be told primarily through a Tale format; novel-styled pages comprising an account of the events of the storyline at length. These will be arranged in Parts A through to Part E.
Several Diegetic articles; pages written from an in-universe perspective will also be created to supplement these Tales. Overarching worldbuilding pages will be rarer than most, but may be also created.
As such; additions to this Scope will likely be much slower than other ones on-site. Be sure to check for new developments on occasion!
How to Collaborate
Castle Admonishment is indefinitely CLOSED for collaboration, as it is meant to serve as a personal thank you letter towards a series that means a great deal to me.
This will not change in the future. However; if you wish, you can send ideas or theories to LordSkorne7 either on his profile here on site, or in our Discord/Site-Chat.
