Overview
Chromagaia is a Scope made by SunlitSmoothie, also known just as Smoothie. You can inquire about this Scope by contacting them on the official community website, or on discord, where they are @sunlitsmoothie. It takes place entirely in a 1.3 light year wide universe contained within conceptual Nothing, and primarily focuses on the events surrounding the Seventeen Suns. Chromagaia retains a primarily high-fantasy genre, inspired by various philosophies and the personal tastes of its creator.
How To Collaborate
Chromagaia is open to contribution at any time. For questions about the wider lore or propositions for new ideas, please contact Smoothie at any of the above mentioned places. As always, it is recommended to contact the Scope's creator to get on board with the project and start contributing.
Chromagaia's unique lexicon is one of the most distinguishing features of it, and collaborators are encouraged to add to it. The article Lexica:Chromagaia serves as a dictionary for the unique language used within this universe, and anyone is free to suggest additions or revised definitions at any time. Any added terms by collaborators should also be chronicled in the Lexica in alphabetical order.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Smoothie will be closely reading and providing feedback on any collaborators' ideas to ensure that they fit within the Scope. Be prepared for involved collaborative conversations and do not get married to the first daydream idea you have. This is not a "dump your ideas and go" Scope.
Rules for Collaboration
Chromagaia maintains a fantastical style of worldbuilding, and the implications set by this impact the genres the Scope favors. High fantasy remains the only genre officially endorsed, and if you wish to go into technology, please consult Smoothie directly. The cosmology heavily affects how science and technology operate, and any spec-tech should take this into account.
Chromagaia has a few boundaries set by the creator. Take care to follow these when collaborating for the best experience. Anything that breaks one or more of these will be considered non-canon and is liable to be taken down.
- Dragons, and the kinds of them that exist, are only allowed to be changed by SunlitSmoothie themself.
- Dragon-like creatures can exist in the form of Legendary Beasts; please consult Smoothie for more information and guidelines on them.
- Nothing in the universe can break out of the spatial boundary of the universe itself.
- No concept of a "power level" exists thus far, but characters should generally stay away from having planet-busting capabilities.
- The Silent Song is not an entity that can be spoken to, nor are any of the suns.
- Time travel is strictly prohibited.
- Humans, as well as their derived races, exist only on the worlds of Keppel and Eithragi as of the current year.
- There are only seventeen suns. There have only ever been seventeen of them.
- Alterations or additions to any solar system must be proposed directed to Smoothie and approved. This will likely be a quick and easy approval and is mostly to ensure the consistency of maps.
Writing conventions include use of in-world terms when applicable, links to explanations of those terms at least once per article (red links are acceptable if they are planned to be written later), and the default setting being the current year (1133 LE) on the planet Keppel. Obviously, writing from other perspectives is allowed, but these deviations in location and/or time should be made clear in the article. Smoothie themself chooses to write with a bit of personal voice, as a professor explaining the topic might, but personal tone is up to the writer.
Interaction With Other Scopes
Chromagaia currently does not interact with any other Scopes, nor do any plans for it to cross over exist. The universe, meant to be the sole site of existence in an infinite void of true nothing, does not mix well with any other setting.
