Cosmoria is a high science fantasy setting taking place in a tightly-packed universe of several hundred stars. Cosmoria hosts additional forces to the familiar four fundamental ones, both related to magic. On this stage, hundreds of nations vie for dominance, but that is hardly the sole focus on the scope. The setting also focused on individual characters and their stories.

This setting is the second universe in the Amaranth Succession project, and the latest evolution of Amaranth Legacy's oldest scope, the Borealis Universe. This makes Cosmoria a part of Scope:Antecedent Legacy.

Cosmoria is a collaborative scope with no official owner, but Duodecillionaire approximates the role.

Rules for Collaboration

The Cosmoria galaxy.

The main rules are concerned with scale; Cosmoria is a small galaxy, with only hundreds of stars. The largest empires in history have only controlled a few dozen, and in the more crowded modern era, controlling a single star system is hard. Stars can be as close as the sun and pluto are, often closer if they are binary systems. This makes faster-than-light (FTL) travel unnecessary. The average distance between the nearest stars is 1200 astronomical units. Most stars have a population ranging from millions to the low trillions.

Familiar concepts from fantasy abound, so realism is not the highest concern. There are species made entirely out of fire or lightning and megastructures so large no material could realistically support them. Fictional elements and even deities that can tear apart worlds are all within bounds. The main rule is to consider the full implications of any new technology, type of magic, etc. (which just so happens to be a good way to world build, which is what we are all about here).

The most important rule is that all stars must be named. If you want to add new stars, add them to List of Stars in Cosmoria. You should also name their major planets. The average person living in Cosmoria can name most of the ones in the sky and have at least heard of the rest (there aren't that many!)

Interaction With Other Scopes

Cosmoria was born from the void left behind from Imagindarium's Creation and Cosmoria's end leads to Galvyria.

Canonically, the reason why Cosmoria resembles the real universe so much is because of interaction with Scope:Antecedent Legacy.

Antecedent Legacy

Cosmoria has an interesting relationship with the Antecedent Legacy scope as many of its ideas, themes, and settings originally existed in the Antecedent Legacy scopes. Cosmoria, created on 30th of August, 2022, Cosmoria replaced the previous local universe, then just a change in name. Over time, however, the local universe shrunk to its current size. On November 10th, 2022, the decision to shrink the entire universe from the scale of billions of stars to hundreds was made.
