What is this, some kind of Saurian War?
This content is within or about the Saurian War Universe.

The SWU or Saurian War Universe is a series of interconnected stories and worldbuilding projects based heavily off Marvel and DC Comics, as well as taking influence from many other sources. Including the 2007 DIC series ‘DinoSquad’ from which the project originally began as a rewrite fanfiction.

Overview

Taking place primarily on Earth, the Saurian War Universe's Earth is full of different heroes, villains, creatures and more, though having only really becoming common knowledge until the mid-2010's. Which leaves the world struggling with how to adapt to this new normal.

Though the Saurian War Universe also encompasses a vast cosmos, with many planets and strange alien races, who have complicated relations with the little blue planet to say the least.

The Saurian War Universe contains several stories that could almost be considered 'sub-scopes' that interact with one another.

  • DinoSquad: Saurian War - The original series and basis for the entire world. Following two groups of teens in the small coastal town of Orca Point, Oregon, who were mutated by a strange substance and given the ability to change from human-to-dinosaur and back, as they fight off deadly mutated animals and war amongst each other due to past grievances, not helped by the fact certain mentor figures are encouraging some members' rage and aggression for their own benefit...
  • Guardians of Earth - Following the planet-saving adventures of this worlds big superhero team, the Guardians of Earth. As they protect the world and its people from Alien Invasions, Maniacal Supervillains, Supernatural Disasters and who knows what else. As well as having to deal with organizations like M.Y.T.H.O.S., Other heroes, and even the fallout of their own failures.
  • Kahurangi Institute - The Kahurangi Institute has been a place for people who have been rejected from society for over a hundred years. Nowadays that is mostly people from a group known as Deviants. Deviants being people who develop superpowers sometime during their teens, and due to aggressive fearmongering campaigns by certain individuals are widley feared, hated and reviled. The Aetis Academy follows the students of the Academy as they live their lives trying to make peace with themselves and the world around them. The series also follows the schools resident superhero team as they try to put an end to various hate groups and villains, many of whom want Deviants wiped off the face of the Earth.

Why Saurian War

Why the name Saurian War? Saurian War is the name of the first story series set in the Universe, focusing on the characters from what was once the 'DinoSquad' Fanfiction, however as the project evolved I neglected to give it a name, referring to is as 'The Superhero Project' or similar things. Eventually the name 'Saurian War Universe' or SWU came about and stuck.

What's going on?

As mentioned above, In addition to this wiki, stories set in the Saurian War Universe are being written, at a slow but steady pace, however, content in this wiki will cover far throughout the universe, not just information present in the story as it currently written. Which in the future can hopefully be incorporated into new stories by either myself or any willing contributors

Rules for Contribution

Anyone is free to add characters or lore. However there are a few rules to abide by if you don't want your page deleted..

  • No Powerscaling: Powerscaling is not something that fits in well to the Saurian War Universe, if you wanna do it in a post or chat that's fine, but it shouldn't make it's way into the actual wiki pages.
  • Keep Strengths reasonable: If you make a character that is nigh invulnerable and has god-like powers, its gonna get axed. Also includes Mary-Sues
  • Explain: Try to have an Explanation for how powers work, It doesnt have to be good or scientifically accurate. Tying it into existing lore is preferred such as making your character a Deviant or having them being Mutated by Primordial Ooze.

I'm really chill and relaxed about what gets in, if your concept is cool It'll probably become canon.
