Summary
StrataVerse is a community-driven worldbuilding project that began in late 2020, started by Achrioptera. Inspired by comic book worlds from DC and Marvel, where superhuman and other powerful beings exist and live alongside humanity.
The StrataVerse is constantly evolving – a collection of novellas and comics chronicling the exploits of various heroes (and villains) around the world.
In this world superhumans have existed for centuries, but in the 1950s, their existence was almost entirely covered up by various powerful organizations who wanted them out of the way or in order to ‘preserve normalcy’.
Heroes were forced to live undercover as average civilians or work for the government, those who didn’t were incarcerated or terminated.
By the 2000s the heroes were forgotten, their last surviving traces being dismissed as fiction.
But the universe holds many threats, some of them too big or too fast for even these organizations to control.
Following an Alien Invasion in 2015, superhumans were common knowledge again and free to operate without fear of capture.

The StrataVerse is more than a singular narrative, it is a web of different stories that anyone can add to where characters and ideas can freely crossover with one another and be built upon by future authors.

Collaboration
The StrataVerse is a semi-open project, as anyone is free to join, but ideas have to be approved by Achrioptera in order to keep things consistent.
Any ideas must not change or contradict previously established lore given through the novellas, though established lore can be added upon, as long as given approval by Achrioptera.
The tone of the StrataVerse is mostly bright with darker elements scattered throughout. Grimdark and Extremely Edgy content should be avoided.
Realism does not need to be taken into consideration when writing but it is preferred.
Magic debatably exists but spellcasting does not, also preferentially magical abilities should not be stated outright to be magic.
Power-Scaling should be avoided.
