Skunk Ape
Although similar in appearance to the Sasquatch, the Florida Skunk Ape is a type of New World monkey related to capuchins. Endemic to South Florida. They are known for their foul smell which helps deter predation and is caused by a unique species of algae living in their fur.

Skunk Apes are omnivores that will happily eat just about anything, from plants, berries and mushrooms to fish, insects, reptiles and even roadkill. An adult Skunk Ape has virtually no predators, though Alligators and Florida Panthers have been known to overpower and kill them on occasion.
