Sonolycan

Sonolycans are a species of semi-humanoid, dog-like aliens native to the planet Flors Ido. They have the ability to manipulate soundwaves to create deafening sonic blasts or to make themselves completely silent when stalking prey.

History

Sonolycans are part of a group that contains Flors Ido's most successful and dangerous predatory species. The ancestral Sonolycan's were not too dissimilar from these related species. They lived in the subtropics of the planet living as pack hunters of mid-sized animals.

Culture

Sonolycans have the insatiable urge to hunt, and get extremely anxious when they are unable to. Much of Sonolycan culture is dedicated to the hunt, though Sonolycans are quite respectful towards nature, often not killing their quarries and simply subduing them. Often times they will hire members of other sapient races to hunt, though they often do not tell their hired prey the full story until just before being chased.
