States

The Sovereignty typically defines a state to be 6-7 stars. In total there are 2 instances in which a state isn't just 6 or 7 stars, these instances being Tibré, the Social Capital state, and Ovhure, the Governmental Capital State.

Capital States

The Sovereignty, unlike most other nations, has 2 capital states, each serving its own purpose. These 2 capital states are Ovhure and Tibré.

Ovhure

The state of Ovhure contains a total of 14 stars being twice the size of the average state. The reason this state has a larger than average size is due to the state being a capital and also containing the origin system of the Sovereignty of Erorum.

The main system within Ovhure is the Morrigan system, this system consists of 4 stars and contains the homeworld of the Sovereignty, later this lead to the system and surrounding state being dubbed a capital state.

Tibré

Tibré became the 2nd capital due to holding several planets and cities of high priority within the Sovereignty. Not only that but the world Oralla Paxum held favorable conditions such as the view of Mercio in the sky, perfect temperatures and gorgeous red wildlife. These factors combined can make Oralla Paxum feel almost just as home as Erorum does to the Erorans.

Tibré has a total of 11 stars under its control, one of these is Tibré. The system surrounding Tibré holds the binary planet system of Mercio and Oralla Paxum, the latter of the two being the 2nd capital planet of the Sovereignty. The Tibré system was one of the first ever stars conquered by the Sovereignty back during its rise to power in the Apple Nebula.

Traditions

The SoE has several traditions though none quite like the 48 State Festival, a music festival hosted every 3 years. In this festival each Eroran state will choose an artist to represent them in the competition. Every round will have each artist present their song live to the nation with voting happening afterwards to decide who's best in the round. The bottom 6 artists will be removed from the competition, leading to a total of 8 rounds happening. In the 8th and final round the top artist is awarded the 48 State Trophy, prize winnings of up to 5.000.000 Lan and the honour of having the next 48 State Festival hosted on their state's capital world.

The first ever of these festivals was hosted in 73 BC, meaning this had been a tradition for 526 years of Eroran history. Whilst the tradition has been around that long there were still several tri-year periods where the festival wasn't held. Most of these were due to ongoing conflicts inhibiting the nation's ability to actively host the festival. So despite the 192 total times that the festival should've happened, it has only occured 168 times.

One of the most significant moments of this festival was in the 155th occurence where a young lady from Arcina, Sanora Epfekies Haslo of Arcina, had won with her single "Maire des ru", a song describing the toxic relationship between two partners. The reason this song was more popular and eventful than the others was due to it having been assumed to being a commentary about the current situation the SoE and the Nepharc Haven had, with the latter of the two being annexed into the former. The artist who had written and performed the song refused to accept or deny any of the accusations so large uproar was created about the song, with it attracting not only many fans due to how well written it was, but also many followers who viewed it as a call to action against the SoE.

Calendar

Each day lasts 43.5 hours, each year a total of 78 days, 6 more added every 10 years to prevent seasonal desynchronisation. The year has 6 months, each lasting 13 days. On leap years every of the months gets an additional day. Whilst this calendar is best suited for Erorum and less so for majority of the other worlds in the Sovereignty it has still been decided as a national standard.

History

In the Federation Standard year of 357 BC, the Sovereignty of Erorum forms, marking this date as their calendar's starting point. The SoE starts as a pseudo-nation, more comparable to a union of nations as opposed to a single nation, yet is still considerably powerful for it's size. Over the next 77 Eroran Years the nation loses more and more of its identity as a union and truly begins to become a single entity. The initial Sovereignty was, despite its strength, much smaller than what it is now, having started as only the 4 stars of the now capital system. Only shortly after having begun sights for other stars in the proximity, leading to the discovery of the Tibré system and quickly taking the star as part of their evergrowing territory.

733 ES, the first ever 48 State Festival is held (at the time known only as the State Festival). The event attracts a large amount of the Sovereignty and also provides a false hope of support from newly introduced species into the empire. Due to the great popularity of the event and the effects of it afterwards, it ends up being decided to repeat every 3 years.

1233 ES, the Sovereignty takes notice of the small Nepharc Haven, rapidly claiming the nation as their own land. Several arkships flee and escape the SoE. Shortly after the 155th 48 State Festival is won with "Maire des ru", starting a small uprising in the Sovereignty.

Eventually the Thistolian Empire finally manages to reclaim their independence by support of the Vernarcan Federation, upsetting the Sovereignty of Erorum and thus starting the war of the broken bow.
