However, not every world is capable of providing an environment that can support the development of Taekni academic education. As a result, many Spheres have set aside entire worlds which are dedicated to teaching their populations of Arcane seekers how to manifest it effectively, and responsibly. The spell must be performed with Flowing Taekni, within the parameters of a Rune that it will be engraved onto. The spell must be performed many times, and ideally by many different people, in order to engrave it. It is a timely, energy demanding, and exhausting process, which can take days, weeks, or even months depending on the level of complexity. However, once engraved, the Rune will be accepted by the Consensus, and become available to everyone - Even the engravers enemies.
	Runes, however, are not always required - the [[Wytch]] Kinde, for example, have mastered a style of casting that focuses mainly on chants. Uttering certain words in certain tones, cadences, or languages can also be an input. More powerful, or permanent spells, may require certain materials, such as gold, silver, circuitry, or various other objects.
