Tara Cole
Tara Cole, known better as Tiger Beetle, is a mercenary hired and created by Jormungandr Engineering to destroy their competitor company DeinonyCorps. and the DinoForce, who had been meddling with several of their less than legal business ventures.
Tara was chosen to be the Tiger Beetle for her proficiency in martial arts and hand-to-hand combat. Jormungandr scientists used Gene Transferring technology to fuse her genetic code with that of a Tiger Beetle, giving her enhanced Strength, Agility and Speed. She was also outfitted with a state-of-the-art cybernetic exoskeleton, upgrading her natural abilities, as well as giving her extreme durability, and flight.
History
Tara Cole was born in Phoenix, Arizona. her mother died in childbirth, something her father always blamed her for. Tara's childhood was hard, her father was a drunk and made it known how much he hated her for killing her mother.
On her sixteenth birthday, Tara's father kicked her out, and she was forced to live out on the streets. She managed to scrape by for a few months but while dumpster diving for her dinner behind a restaurant she was caught by the restaurant owner and beaten, breaking her leg in the process. Having nowhere to go, she simply endured, dressing her wounds and continuing to survive. The next few weeks were hard and she would've probably died. Thankfully a patron at a bar noticed her limping through an alleyway and went to go see her.
After calming her down and convincing her he wouldn't hurt her, he became enamored by her tenacity and fighting spirit. He offered to take her in and to take her to a hospital to get a proper cast on her leg. The man was the leader of an assassin's guild and offered to teach her how to kill to which Tara readily accepted.
After a few years of training, Tara proved to be a natural-born assassin and she made her first assassination, on her father.
She quickly rose among the ranks in her guild and became the top rated mercenary for killing off political rivals, loose ends and business competitors.
By the time Jormungandr Engineering hired her she had a body-count of over 500.
