History

Thaddeus was raised on his family farm and quickly began to show an affinity for animals. Willing and eager to do any chores around the farm involving the families chickens, pigs, cows and horses which was happily reinforced by his parents. When not working on the farm, Thaddeus was out in the woods and wetlands on his family’s land catching garter snakes and snapping turtles or hunting for bones, shells, feathers and fossils.

By the time he was 16 he had managed to get his hands on a variety of exotic creatures including; Ferrets, Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches, Hermit Crabs and even a giant Green Anaconda that he kept in the bathtub, until his mother forced him to build a shed out near the barn for it to live in,

At the age of 20 Thaddeus went to the University of Minnesota and studied in the fields of Natural History, Biology and Paleontology. Quickly graduating and finding work with the Science Museum of Minnesota. While working for the Museum, Greene traveled across the country, going to different fossil sites like the Morrison Formation, Wannagan Creek Site, Mesabi Iron Range, and the Badlands of South Dakota. While he travelled he kept in depth accounts of the different creatures he found and even brought back several specimens back to the museum. This prompted the director to commission Greene to go on an expedition to the Amazon Rainforest.

In the Amazon, Thaddeus met up with a young John Beery, and the two set out capturing, cataloging and describing many plants, fungi and animals as

By age 28, Thaddeus renovated his family farm into the Green City Zoo and began charging admission. And as he saved money he pitched a documentary series to several networks called 'Mysterious Habitats with Thaddeus Greene'. The show would be hosted by himself with segments shot on location in various exotic wilderness areas, with scenes of Greene at his zoo often displaying animals native to the area before he left or shots of animals he had brought back with him. Among the places Greene documented were Anaho Island, The Lost World Plateaus, Mycelial Isles, Barbarus Islands, Diego Fernandez Archipelago, Skull Island and Dante's Pit.
