Appearance
Thane is a female Proceratosaurus standing 3'2" tall and stretching 9.8 feet in length. Her sharp amber eyes match the warm tones of her crest and feathers, while bold black stripes carve striking patterns across her soft gray body. Her face, underbelly, and lower limbs fade into a pale green hue, adding contrast to her markings. A few teeth jut from her maw, lending her a naturally devious expression. Her tail is rounded and cat-like, ending in a sleek black tip.
Personality
Thane carries a sharp tongue and a bitchy, no-filter attitude, often coming off like a total prick to anyone who doesn’t know her. But underneath all that fire, she’s a walking disaster—self-destructive, chaotic, and tangled up in wounds she’s had for as long as she can remember. Kindness feels dangerous to her; being soft feels like inviting abandonment all over again. The only person she ever lets see that fragile side is her girlfriend, Astrid. The only time she allows herself to be vulnerable.
Background
Thane grew up in a low-income household where her father was rarely around, always claiming he had “important work” to do. In truth, he was spending his time with other women. Her mother carried the weight of the family alone, scraping by on a job that paid almost nothing. Eventually, out of desperation, her mother began to objectify herself just to keep food on the table.
Thane never knew any of this—until the night her father came home and confronted her mother about it. Thane stepped in to defend her, only to hear the confession directly from her mother’s lips. Even then, she refused to let her father tear her down again.
That was the breaking point. One night, Thane took her father’s gun and woke him from his sleep. She didn’t intend to kill him—she just wanted him gone. But when he lunged for the weapon, trying to overpower her, the struggle turned violent. In the chaos, the gun went off. The shot was accidental, but it was fatal.
Thane froze as her father collapsed. Her mother rushed in seconds later, saw the scene, and assumed the worst. Despite Thane’s desperate attempts to explain, her mother forced her out of the house.
From that night on, Thane had to survive alone—cold, young, and with nowhere to go.
