Overview

The Assemblage of Scientific Progress and Research, more commonly known as The Scientific Assembly, is an intergalactic hypercorporation that has dominated the technological landscape of the Milky Way since the days of Old Terra. Over the centuries, the Assembly has been responsible for revolutionary breakthroughs and has forged key partnerships that have shaped the tech-sphere across nearly every republic in the Stellar Neighborhood. Its widespread brand presence and market dominance have led some independent analysts and specialists to label the Scientific Assembly as a political devil and a monopolistic force detrimental to humanity.

History

Back on Old Terra, when the planet was gradually descending into chaos and natural catastrophe, humanity desperately needed a spark to reignite hope and inspire a fight for a better future. Historians generally do not attribute the founding of the Assembly to one single individual; rather, it was born from the collective efforts of a group—a team of hacktivists from both West and East Asia. These renegade hackers capitalized on the digital siege launched by professional criminals from North Korea, who were backed by China. With the West already under financial strain, the next target was Taiwan and its sprawling manufacturing networks.
