The Slime (Xanthoncos spitzbergensis), also known as the Spitsbergen slime, is an extraterrestrial organism that causes yellow lung on humans. It was first contracted on August 16th, 1941 in the island of Spitsbergen, Norway. Since then, it infected much of Europe, North Africa, and West Asia, its transmission aided by the constant movement of troops and supplies across the regions.
