The Souls

Overview

"The Souls" as they are commonly known, are a species/phenomenon that can appear anywhere in the Universe. Humans have been recording the appearance of Souls since their ancient history, and came to be known as ghosts and spirits, among other things. Records of nearly every sentient species known reveal that Souls are not only a human phenomenon, but in fact a universal one. Either taking on the appearance of or actually being (no one is sure of which) deceased members of sentient species, they have been the subject of many myths and legends. Confirmed to exist by humans in 3087, news of their confirmed existence sent ripples throughout human society. Very little is known about them to this day, but scarce evidence suggests a secret human organization known as [REDACTED] has conducted tests revealing the exact nature of these beings.
