Theid Theron, is a male, mechanically enhanced and genetically modified Progenitor Zetheilian. He is one of the founding members of the Guardians of Earth.

History

Creation and Early Life

Theid was created by geneticists at the Qu Laboratories using the recovered DNA of an ancient progenitor Zetheilian, modified to make him stronger, faster, more agile, and more resilient.

After hatching he was given to a genetically modified African Gray Parrot with enhanced intelligence named Angerona. She named him Theid, and teaches him how to communicate with birds as well as English.

Theid undergoes many cruel and painful experiments to test his abilities as a product/weapon. Including being affixed to an Achrinian War Harness, procured by Qu Labs from rogue M.Y.T.H.O.S. elements

Eventually Theid plans an escape from the building along with Angerona and several other laboratory animals, mostly primates (Chimps, Bonobos, Rhesus Macaques, Crab-eating Macaques, Pig-tailed Macaques, Vervet Monkeys, Squirrel Monkeys) and other parrots.

The escape mission is successful with everyone escaping into New York City, despite some losses. Theid and Angerona find a hidden away corner of the city to live for a few weeks, until a hired mercenary from Qu Labs tries capturing the pair along with the remaining escaped animals.

The hunter fatally wounds Angerona in the process, causing Theid to freak out, attacking and killing the mercenary. He rushes to his adoptive mother’s side and she tells him to fight work to protect everyone from people like the scientists at Qu Labs, and not to live with hate and grief. She dies in the street, and Theid takes her body to a park where he buried her under some large trees.

Filled with rage and still grieving he vows to take revenge on humanity. He prowls an alleyway, stalking a man and his child, ready to savagely kill them. But before he can, a mugger intercepts them with a gun.

The man owes the mugger money from a poker game a few nights earlier. Though the man does not have said money as he needed to pay for a doctor’s visit.

The kid pleads for the mugger to not kill his father, but he doesn’t care and is willing to kill both father and son, to make them an example for anyone else who might try and skip out on their debts.

Hearing the kid’s pleas Theid remembers Alexa’s dying words and realizes that she not only meant for him to protect the lab animals but every innocent life he can. One change of heart later and he pounced upon the mugger subduing him with an electrical shock and saving both people.

The two are grateful to him and Theid runs off into the city.

For the next few weeks he scraped by, finding various crevices to sleep during the nights, searching through trash for food and occasionally helping someone in need, human and test subject alike. Soon the presence of a large population of apes in the city couldn't be kept secret and bounties were set up for the capture and return of the subjects back to Qu Labs, something Theid would not allow if he could at all help it.

the next couple days were spent battling various hunters of varying quality from rednecks with shotguns all the way to superpowered mercenaries from Qu Labs directly. He reluctantly became the leader of the small colony, and decided the city was no longer a safe place for them and lead a secret exodus away from New York headed west. Fewer mercenaries track him through the wilderness, though some still follow, and Theid is forced to keep a constant watch.

The community is eventually approached by Thaddeus Greene who offered them a place to stay where they wouldn't be exploited. Naturally skeptical of the claim, Theid was half-tempted to run off, but Thaddeus's words and tone resonated with Theid and against his better judgement, decided to give the man a chance.

K'keeri Invasion and Formation of the Guardians of Earth

by 2015 Theid had made a home for himself in the city of Frostbank, Minnesota. Living wherever he could scrape out a spot to sleep for the night and working as a stealthy vigilante, often apprehending his targets without being seen.

One night whilst prowling about the Frostbank Space and Aeronautics Center he noticed two scientists behaving strangely, and curious, he decided to watch them for a while. But once the pair brutally killed another scientist staying late at night, Theid decided it was time to leap into action. Confronting the two scientists he was about to apprehend them and turn them into the local PD, when he was attacked and nearly killed by the same weapon from before, causing him to pause for a moment and allow the pair to escape, however, it was only temporary and he followed them to the roof of the building.

There he discovered the scientists weren't even human, rather they were spies from an alien race, the K'keeri. He quickly found he was ill equipped to deal with the gelatinous extraterrestrials and was defeated in a one-on-one battle. Barely escaping with his life, Theid was sent flying into the city by an attack, freeing the K'keeri spies and allowing them to contact their nearby Warships and Terraformer.

From several blocks away, a barely-concious Theid was found by Avery Bakker, who woke him up just in time for him to see K'keeri crafts descending from the skies and weapon-bearing alien soldiers emerging from them.

Determined to protect the innocents in the streets Theid and Avery leapt in to fight against the soldiers. Unfortunately Theid found much of his weaponry ineffective against the unique biology of the K'keeri. That was until Avery managed to steal one of the weapons from a defeated soldier, and gave it to him. Inspiration struck Theid at that moment and after taking a second to incorporate the weapon into his harness he charged back into battle. This time shredding through waves of aliens by using their own tech against them. But even with his new weaponry it seemed that the horde was endless, and the fighting combined with him doing all he could to protect any civilians caught in the crossfire was quickly starting to tire him out.

Luckily, before he could be overtaken, reinforcements arrived in the forms of Ponter Abbott, Orion Slipher, Leilani Lang, Corrine Kovar and Brock Slateley

Initially wary of the five new arrivals, the need to survive won out over his skepticism, though he still didn't really like any of these people, and soon enough they had cleared out enough K'keeri to be able to have some time to think. Only for the K'keeri Terraformer to appear in the sky just above the city. Not knowing what the machine did, but certain it wasn't any good, Theid determined that they would need to destroy it, to which his newfound allies agreed. Quickly he devised a plan to destroy it.

Using Avery, Orion, Leilani and Geoff's abilities of flight, and carrying himself, Ponter and Corrine, the heroes found themselves on the K'keeri mothership and terraformer, where they found even more powerful members of the K'keeri race that made them struggle even with their extraordinary powers and weapons.

Theid managed to be overpowered and was brought to the K'keeri queen in order to be executed for her amusement. However since the aliens were unfamiliar with Zetheilian biology he was able to make a great escape by opening his limb restraints with his prehensile tongues. While running amok in the spacecrafts labyrinthine halls and corridors, he took notice of anything important looking and smashing anything he could along the way.

He eventually found himself within the Terraformer's control center, and discovered the truth of what the K'keeri planned to do to the Earth.

He couldn't muscle his way through and destroy the console however, and he would need to, somewhat reluctantly, find his team members and band together in order to reach the console, which was primed and ready to terraform the entire planet in 45 minutes.

As quickly as he could he located all seven heroes and freed them from their containments, before rushing back to the control room. where the team proceeded to beat the snot out of the guards and completely reprogram, then smash the control console, at which point a critical system malfunction occurred and the entire ship would crash and explode.

Theid escorted everyone out of the ship and left himself inside, hoping to steer the ship out into space where it would explode and crash away from the Earth, a sure to be suicide mission that the others did not approve of in the slightest. But Theid didn't care and ejected them back out to Earth where he managed to steer the Terraformer into space, and took a moment to accept his fate, and proudly reflect on the lives he saved. But seconds before the massive explosion was able to kill him a combined effort from his 6 new friends was able to save him. with Geoff forming a sealed space proof bubble using his energy constructs, Corrine propelling the bubble, Orion and Ponter breaking open the ships hull, Leilani locating him, and Avery containing and absorbing the flames from the exploding tech, grabbing Theid and carrying him safely back to the bubble which Corrine was able to move far enough away from the Terraformer so the team could watch it explode before becoming terraformed itself, converted into a tiny life-covered asteroid that would drift through space.

Upon returning to Earth the Theid was welcomed back with thunderous applause and outpouring of admiration. Eventually culminating with the president coming to Frostbank to visit him and the team, and on national television thanking Theid and his team for saving the planet, at which point he unveiled the destroyed Space and Aeronautics Center was been renovated into a headquarters for the team, should they accept it.

But he was unsure if how to address the team to which the others nominated Theid as their leader and prompted him to name the team, to which he told the president to call them the 'Guardian's of Earth'

Personality

Theid tends to be somewhat apathetic and lazy, he has a disdain for anything formal or high class, and is easily irritated by things. But underneath all of his flaws he's a kind and gentle soul, who'd be more than happy to spend his days relaxing and hanging out with his friends.

Theid has a strong moral compass, and believes that everyone deserves at least a couple second chances, he'll gladly give a villain a lot of leeway if he thinks it will put them down the right path.
