Theira Langston

Displaced from time after the K-Pg extinction event interrupted a scientific experiment, Theira Langston is a mutated Saurornitholestes and the head of biological sciences at DeinonyCorps., the head researcher of Primordial Ooze and one of three overseers and mentors of the DinoForce.

She is deeply caring and somewhat like a mother hen, as such Theira is usually the one to approach or be sought out when someone is having a problem, though that's not to say her empathetic side is all she’s got going for her. Theira is sharp-witted and more open to creative or outside-of-the-box solutions to problems. She is also bolder than her husband and more willing to take risks.

Being the only socially capable individual amongst her husband and his best friend, Theira has taken the role of DeinonyCorps. Head of Public Relations. She becomes the mother to three male chicks, and should anyone mess with them she becomes a raging ball of fury,

History

Early Life

Born Theira Vanderloh to a wealthy Laramidian family, in what would one day become the state of Montana, Theira displayed a genius-level intellect at a young age, a talent her parents encouraged and helped build upon. She proved an expert on biology, and she would spend her childhood keeping small creatures like amphibians, lizards and mammals, where she noticed a strange higher-intelligence in the latter than existed in the others.

she was offered a position at the Laramidian Science Institute to do groundbreaking research on a variety of mammals from around the world. She worked with Dr. Victor Veloci and Dr. Joan Moynihan who was also working with animal intelligence, surveying the Mesabicorax populations on the nearby Mesabi Island.

While working with Dr. Veloci she met his best friend, Zet Langston, a mechanical engineer who she was instantly smitten with. Zet was working on a series of experimental cryogenic stasis pods to be used by the Laramidian Space Administration to keep astronauts alive over long space missions.

Zet and Theira hit it off well on their first meeting and quickly began dating, discovering that they had much in common. Theira would often help about Zet’s lab where she learned a lot about engineering from him, but she mostly would just watch and talk, occasionally helping out with tests and experiments. After about a year of dating, Zet proposed to Theira. She happily accepted and the two were soon married. But these happy times didn’t last too long as only a few months after their union, armageddon struck.

A gigantic meteorite was headed on a course for the Earth, threatening to wipe out all life, the space rock was only a few minutes from striking the planet, and with Zet’s lab being on the 15th floor they had no chance of escaping the building in time, so Zet suggested a wild idea. The shells of his pods were built to be nearly-indestructible, so he reasoned they would have a chance to survive the shockwaves and death clouds. Figuring that their chances in the pods were as good as any other, she took refuge in the pods with him, alongside Victor, Moynihan, Antonio Umbra and Penny Umbra.
