Overview

The Thirteen Realms, known also as the Realms of Typhonia, and the Thavmatic Realms, are a collection of thirteen independent and isolated Realms of existence situated within the Trilateral Realm of Thavma. Created by the ancient Typhonians during the Great Age Typhonia, their impact on the collective histories of Imagindarium's Creation is one far beyond most phenomena, making them an inescapable presence throughout Imagindarium's Line to the End. They were created by collective Typhonia by utilizing the Remnant essence extracted from the then destroyed and ancient Primeveranth; the first sapient being brought into existence by the Typhonians own creators, the Annuat, during the Dawn Epoch.

These Realms are spatially arranged in a concentric formation encircling the Realm of the Mavimyst, a central phenomenon known as the Typhonia-Circulacium. Each Realm exists in complete autonomy from the metaphysical influence of one another, yet shares a common origin and structural configuration, as each are defined by their alignment within this metaphysical ring.

Despite their immense physical and magical power, the Typhonians were ultimately wholly incapable of generating sentient life directly from their own being; marking them utterly impotent in the act of Creation. To circumvent this limitation, and taking inspiration from the Mavimyst which already sat within the Void of Thavma, they employed the ethereal remains of Primeveranth as a conduit for their creative Intent. Through this medium, they constructed the Thirteen Realms as mechanisms through which they could engender new life, which would take the form of the Near-Divine Inomeni Races.

Prison of the Typhonia

As a result; the Thirteen Realms have been the shared homeland for innumerable entities and Inomeni peoples throughout the eons in which they have remained extant. And, rather ironically, the Realms themselves would later serve to be the eternal prison of their very creators once the Typhonians had been forever banished from the now finite Ambrosia which had succeeded that of Typhonia following the actions of Skorne, the first Amaranth Heir.

The Thirteen Realms now function as a both prison and sovereign domain for the individual Typhonians confined within them. Each Realm is subtly and irrevocably infused with the eternal Ideal of Conflict, the legacy of the Great Unifier which forever pours forth from the Penumbral Scales of the Mavimyst. This Ideal perpetuates an unending cycle of divine strife, compelling the Typhonians to wage continuous war against one another in pursuit of dominion over their kindred's territories. Through conquest and absorption, each seeks to amalgamate the Realms of their rivals into their own, driven by the aspiration to consolidate power and ascend toward a unified supremacy.

As well; all Thirteen Realms are oriented in a perpetual state of yearning toward the Mavimyst, specifically its central Mysterial Realm known as Haven. Haven, unlike the other Realms, contains within it the unique metaphysical Source known as Mana; an essence of unparalleled potency and purity. This Source became the singular and inexhaustible desire of all Typhonia, for it alone held the potential to restore them to the transcendent state of true-divinity once held in the Great Age Typhonia. The promise of regaining their former stature drives the Typhonians in their ceaseless struggle, with the Thirteen Realms as both the theater and the stake of their eternal conflict.

Composition

Each of the Thirteen Realms differs immensely in structure, composition, and metaphysical function, with no two Realms bearing resemblance in form or manifestation. Despite this extreme variance, all share a singular commonality in their origin: each was forged from the Remnant essence of the Primeveranth, the omnipotent and first sapient entity fashioned by the Annuat during the Dawn Epoch. This shared derivation grants each Realm a fundamental ontological trait; each embodies a distinct and isolated facet of Primeveranth’s former totality.

These facets, once unified within Primeveranth's being, were fragmented, condensed into extremes, and transmuted into macrocosmic embodiments of inherent metaphysical identity. Each Realm, therefore, exists as a congealed and magnified expression of unrealized or partial aspects of Primeveranth’s primordial former-self. In this way, the Thirteen Realms are more metaconceptual entities rather than concrete locations; each representing a singular, elevated abstraction of the divine identity once held by Primeveranth, now refracted and independently sustained by Typhonian power.
