ISLANDED IN A STREAM OF STARS, ACROSS ETERNAL SEAS OF SPACE AND TIME
This content is a part of the Silky Way.
Key
Anyone may add to this page to include events occurring in the Silky Way scope. The Modern Era of the setting is defined as any date after 0 AC on the Federation Standard Calendar (i.e. the last 150 years). The present day of the setting is defined as 150 AC, shortly after the destruction of the Void and end of the War of the Broken Bow.
Due to the scale and granularity of the setting and often fast pace of the timeline, the page has been split into subpages for each major seed cluster.

- 13.79 Billion BC / 0 years after the beginning (henceforth AB)
- The beginning of time. The first seconds exist in a chaotic state of absolute heat, with the very laws of physics in flux under these conditions. The four fundamental forces split off from one another in the first seconds of time, and the amount of matter in the universe is largely set by the first tens of microseconds after the beginning.
- 20 minutes AB: Nuclear fusion ceases to be possible and no new elements will be created until the first stars form. However, the minuscule amount of post-Helium elements are enough to form a very small number of rogue planets, which go on to host the first life in the universe as the ambient temperature goes down.
- 380,000 years AB: Recombination occurs and the universe becomes transparent, releasing the Cosmic Microwave Background into space.
- 13.4 Billion BC
- The first stars form, oversized affairs which almost immediately supernova and create the first supermassive black holes including Demos.
- The earliest generation of galaxies also forms, including such primordial structures as Asharbyel and Sarjul.
- 12.5 Billion BC
- The galactic ring and core of the Silky Way forms, marking the creation of the galaxy from a smattering of smaller ones. Filarsa likely follows.
- 4.9 Billion BC
- The Seven Nations expand across the Silky Way from seats in the Ervo Sector, Lazon Sector, and other places. At their height, their combined territory covers most of the galactic ring.
- 4.8 Billion BC
- The continuity of the civilizations of the Seven Nations is broken by a quasar burst from Demos, severely damaging them and leading to the rapid collapse of the remaining fragments in war. Their extinction would leave the galaxy empty for billions of years, and only one power would ever reach this scale again.
- 2.5 Billion BC
- The Vernarca Nebula's Seed Cluster coalesces in the outer ring of the Silky Way.
