In the desolate outer regions of Midonia lies Twilight, known to its inhabitants as Shezios, a dim, mysterious garden planet encircling a faint red star far beyond its habitable zone. The planet's climate is kept in check by ancient orbital mirrors, constructed ages ago by an enigmatic interstellar society. The pleasant conditions of Twilight had enabled life to thrive, blanketing the entirety of the planet in less than a billion years. In order to absorb the sparse sunlight that reaches the planet, the native flora has adapted a charcoal coloration, leaving the lands of Twilight in an eternal state of darkness.

The planet of Twilight would lie untouched until its discovery in 7524 by Shezi, a nomadic race that thrives in darkened environments, who saw the planet as the ideal opportunity to settle down. They constructed Evenfall, a quiet space station interlinking the capital city of Eventide, harboring the greater part of the planet's population. The Unity of Twilight was established shortly afterward, a state independent of the great powers, offering sanctuary to any who seek it.

Infrastructure

A sparsely inhabited planet, the population of Twilight is a slightly over eight hundred thousand. Eventide, the planet's capital, harbors roughly six hundred thousand of those people. Situated in Yza's northern grasslands, Eventide stands as Twilight's singular urban center. The rest of the population is largely spread across the continent in quiet towns and villages, most notably in the Northern Mountain Range's vicinity. Inhabitation on the planet's other continents is especially scarce, and these isolated communities are connected only by air travel.

Twilight's only space station, Evenfall, encircles the planet in a geosynchronous orbit overlooking Eventide, and is home to an additional sixty thousand people. Constructed before any other infrastructure in the system, it serves as a vital point of entry to the planet, providing food, fuel, and rest to any travelers.
