Ultirite

A Humanoid species native to Ultritia, that bear similarities to cephalopods of Earth.

History

Ultirites first evolved in the equatorial rainforests of Ultritia around 6 million years ago, being efficient and intelligent ambush predators able to easily subdue prey with their powerful tentacles.

As they continued to evolve increasingly more intelligent, they developed stone blades and hammers, then metal tools which lead to the formation of the first civilizations. tribes and cities then began expanding north and south of the tropics. The different groups easily cooperated with one another on account of their variable biology. Quickly advancing and growing to settle upon the entire planet as a single unified nation, have no conflicts any bigger than political squabbles and individual murders or serial killers.

This peaceful way of life ultimately proved to be the Ultirite’s downfall as they were wiped out by the K’keeri, on their never ending quest to expand their empire across the cosmos.

Culture

Ultirite society was a peaceful one, the species never had any sort of war or discrimination on account of their ability to alter their physical forms. As a result they had no weaponry much more powerful than hunting rifles.

Powers and Abilities

Ultirites possess advanced chromatophores across their entire bodies allowing them to change color and pattern instantly and at will. They can also change the texture of their skin by pressurizing their blood and filling in small grooves that cover their bodies. Using their pressurized blood, Ultirites can increase their physical strength and harden their bodies.
