United Seraph Republic

The United Seraph Republic, is a democratic nation that makes up the majority of the continent of Seraphina's landmass. Currently as it stands, the USR is the world's biggest country.

History

Originally, the territory of the USR was made up of multiple colonial holdings belonging to various nations such as Kyumen, Valoren, Suskiland, and Corvidia. Following the outbreak of the Great Pan-Continental War, a movement that was anti-war and pro-independence gained significant traction, particularly in the Kyumic, Valoren, and Corvidian colonies. A bloody independence war soon followed, in which the military and government forces still loyal to their respective crowns were forced to flee from the colony. Following the war's end in 1819, the countries that previously had colonial holdings in Seraphina were forced to recognize the USR's independence, having been too exhausted from 12 years of war to attempt and reclaim their holdings. In the following decades, the USR expanded to encompass most of Seraphina, bordering only Verdas in the south, and Boreala to the northwest. As a result, the USR holds uncontested dominion over the Strata Sea.

The USR became a beacon of hope to those living in the old continents who wished to start acknew in someplace with more general freedoms. Being a true democratic nation, the USR allowed for all political beliefs and ideologies to exist within its borders, leading to the formation of many political parties. These parties range from the relatively moderate liberal and conservative parties, to the extremist parties like the Nationalist Party, the Syndicalist Party, and the Scarlet Sky Party.

The USR is home to multiple large industrialized cities, such as the following:

Serena - The national and political capital of the USR
Hoffburg - a highly industrial coastal city known for its metal foundries and ship building
Deluvia - Located where the Triton Ocean meets the Strata Sea, Deluvia is a large trading hub, both internationally and domestically
Carnio - A large city in the southwestern USR, this city thrives off its mining and production industry
Dawnsville - The northernmost of the USR's major cities, Dawnsville's main industry is fishing and mining.
Miwok - A city in the center of the USR, Miwok is a highly agrarian city
