Overview

Athagon is a surrealist universe encompassing the existence of all of Creation. Overseen by five major gods known as the Sovereigns, it is a vast land of retro futurism with modern and antiquated elements. While set currently, many civilizations are at various stages of development.

History

Athagon began as the dream of three gods: Aurora, goddess of the stars, Father Time, god of the past, present, and future, and Deuce, son of magic. Together, they created the Big Bang which kickstarted the universe. It was peaceful at first, but soon became quite boring once time was invented.

Aurora began pining for a lover she never had, and so sculpted one of debris. This became Jericho, god of the planets, moons, and asteroids. They were wed, and bore many children, all of whom were stars or planets. One day, may years later, the first star died, and Aurora was stricken with grief. She buried what remained and cried so often, that the grave grew into a handsome tree. This tree would be named Valcherie, the first life and goddess of it. Valcherie's seeds spread far and wide, covering the entire planet she grew upon in flora. Her garden was lush, with trees that grew shooting stars and flowers that never died. Wherever these shooting stars landed, life would sprout. And for the longest time, everyone was happy.

However, Deuce grew jealous of his peers, being an entity of pure magic. With no body, he could not feel, see, hear, taste, or smell. He simply knew what things felt, looked, sounded, tasted, or smelt like. So, he staged a coup d'état with his devoted followers, most of whom were demonic of nature and lacked a soul. He ultimately failed, being swiftly stopped by the other Sovereigns. As punishment, his followers were sent to the edge of the universe, and he was sent to Hell, an abyss outside of time and space where he could build his own reality.

But he didn't. Instead, he festered there, letting himself twist into a form unrecognizable. He has attempted many times to get back into Athagon, but all attempts have failed. He is still there today, waiting and plotting for a chance at Heaven.
