Overview

*Alliance Network of Galactic Elite Legionaries* or "ANGELS" which are an elite cadre of Ambrosia Alliance operatives who can operate above the law with total impunity to accomplish their goals. ANGELS aren't often the most morally good people on an individual level. To even be considered for the position you have to have already shown extreme loyalty and excellence within your prior given sector. The initiation ritual to be an ANGEL has you murder any random person you're pointed at. You have zilch idea who or why, but you're expected to do it without question. There's limits to what an ANGEL can do legally, but that limit is like they can't boom an entire city or more. Beyond that, they can go nuts They're just not allowed to draw attention to themselves; being really bombastic would likely get em caught and they'll be totally disavowed and the AAUS will pretend to know nothing about who they are they're full military. In-fact; they have near total military jurisdiction in every military branch of every member nation that comprises the AAUS. They are highly discouraged to talk of what they did to achieve a mission objective. It is on a need-not-know basis. As long as you do it; you're good. Only 2 things you're expected to do it: What you're told, Don't leave a trail leading back to anyone or anything who told you, Mainly because the ANGELS for most of their history was tasked with illegally infiltrating and fucking with the Sanlagosa Concordant without any direct proof leading back to the AAUS as the Concordant was much more powerful then the Alliance for most of their history, but there's was enough of a balance of power that open warfare between either or would be utterly devastating to both So there's a few "random act of violence; the killer was never found" in local news on various worlds and locations that are result of the ANGELS doing shit they're told to do Each ANGEL also has a specific coded language for them and them alone with their commanders so that even ANGELS don't know what other ANGELS are being told to do. They're not a group meant to work together unless they absolutely have to. ANGELS also have a really short life expectancy; especially during the time of the Concordant. If you got caught, or injured and you couldn't make it back on your own; there's no help coming, and your pleas are going to be entirely ignored Hence the acronym being a bit morbid. While yes, you are one of the most elite people in Alliance; you aren't ever expected assistance against far overwhelming odds at many times. You're expected to die within the first 5 years of your tenure at least. Those who make it longer are considered exceptional and given command roles.
