Mercury
Mercury is the smallest planet in the system. Geologically inactive, its surface is pockmarked with ancient craters. The crust, meanwhile, features vast iron deposits, for which it has been extensively mined over the last five thousand years.
Venus
Venus is a the hottest planet in the system, its volcanic surface lying beneath an extremely dense carbon dioxide atmosphere. Plans for its terraformation were made in the past, but never went into practice due to the focus shifting towards Mars. Today, its population numbers in the tens of thousands, being found in housing complexes near aerial mining facilities.
Earth
Earth is a temperate planet with a rich native biosphere. The original birthplace of humanity, nature has reclaimed most of its surface in the thousands of years since the Great Armageddon. The descendants of people who never left Earth evolved into retrohumans (Homo sapiens superstes), currently the only extant species of paleohuman. After the Vangelian Revolution, neohumans settled the planet and turned it into the main capital of their country while avoiding conflict with their retrohuman cousins.
