The Confluent shard now fallen, the rent code firewalled by a stack exchange, a divinely cleaved creation, all names and stories lost now reignite under the wailing suns. The Galaxy is in turmoil, fragments of what once was writhing in their generations-long quest to retake the stars for themselves. But the great powers of technology cannot be restrung in the way of the pre-collapse, and the new powers of their isolate universe demand evolution before the world is open again. To claim the stars is an act of hubris beyond any other, and yet to travel them is the first step to making it a reality.
Behind this urge, commandeering its inherent motivation are the organizers, the interstellar meganations whose operatives turn heroes and wondersmiths into resources, energy units to be drained for the sake of expansion.
