Overview

Wells, known also as "Stellar Wells" or "Celestial Wells," are a Linneric phenomena found throughout Ambrosia which takes the form of a spherical mass of warped and collapsed spatial reality. Wells are unique in structure when compared to other astronomical bodies across the galaxy; as rather than a coherent object, they instead act as a compact density of spatial interruption to the outwardly expressed infinite-Amaranth which structures Ambrosia. As a result; Wells cause varying effects to the surrounding ontological fabric around them; the level of which varying on its size, location and given form.

Like most astronomical objects, Wells have existed since the very beginning of Ambrosia. As the Great Age Typhonia came to an end; and with it came the rending of the then infinite Typhonia to the now finite Ambrosia, the divine Typhonians found themselves within a limited realm. As the Typhonians were the universe's preeminent manifesting of magical potency; their inherent wealth of power began to ontologically bend the structural bounds of the galaxy to great extremes. It was through this bending that large spherical tears began to physically manifest as Ambrosia was beginning to shred itself apart through spatial dispersal of the infinitely-condensed Amaranth that defines its bounds.

It wasn't long until Amaranth itself would defend the newly formed galaxy, as it would Contravene in the form of a unique sentient champion of Ambrosia's continuance; Creation's first Amaranth Heir. This Heir, later known to history as "Skorne," waged personal war against the Typhonians and their attendant Inomeni progeny. Skorne would ultimately prove victorious, activating the Remnant Amaranth Contravene within him; both banishing the Typhonians from Ambrosia, and imprisoning them for all-time within the collective Thirteen Realms of Thavma they had constructed in the universal age prior. In the aftermath: Skorne would demanifest from reality, and in a subsequent consequence, the force of linear time would emerge in active expression, marking the first galactic-year of 100,000 TI (Time Immemorial); the start of Dyad Rule.

While the Typhonians were banished from Ambrosia; the damage inflicted upon the galaxy would remain from then-on in the form of Wells, orbitally moving across the galaxy and devouring all surrounding cosmic material. These gaping wounds would ultimately dictate a great deal of galactic history; both natural and societal, as they prove a consistent and constant threat to any unfortunate enough to cross in its path. As well; new Wells would form within Ambrosia from the ages that would follow; often left as a scarring spatial crater from an immensely destructive act experienced in that location.

Properties

Wells manifest in varying forms, and thus have select endemic properties dependent on that given class. However; Wells as a whole largely hold aspects found ubiquitously amongst them all, thanks to their shared form of origin. Predominantly; all Wells are inherently destructive entities to galactic continuity. This feat is accomplished thanks to the extreme potency of their respective Horizon-Effect Field, the force often found emitted through stars which forms the bounds of System Space. This uniquely produced Horizon is often referred to as "Dark-Horizon," in respect to the seemingly inherent malicious nature of Wells.

The nature in which Dark-Horizon disrupts galactic stability varies on the form and size of the Well in question, and it is through the methodology that the given Horizon outwardly manifests that the respective form of a Well is defined.
