The Xcathli Republic general election of 99979 was the 8421st decennial Xcathli Republic election, held on December 18, 99979.
The Xcathli Populist-Centrist Party, led by incumbent Grand Minister Elmar Typress, won the election with the most seats in the party's history, with 7020 seats in the High Council. The right-wing Conservative Coalition Party formed the Official Opposition, with 1238 seats. Polonice Cera's radical New Imperialists rounded out the top three with 1189 seats.
The election saw an overwhelming amount of support for the primary parties: only 19 seats went to any parties except for the major five parties, and ten of those seats went to Mer'ev's Freedom Party. This was a result of a twenty-year economic boom that rendered the need for minor extremist groups obsolete. Typress won his twenty-fifth term in office, becoming one of the longest-serving Grand Ministers in history.
