Template:Infobox TechnologyA Xeno Artifact pertains to very enigmatic pieces of technology, created by foreign or extinct species. Ever since the expansion of modern-day civilizations, countless Xeno Artifacts have been discovered, and many of which are still fairly mysterious in their own right. Xeno Artifacts come in all sorts of functions, sizes, and conditions. While some Xeno Artifacts may be completely ruined, others appear in almost mint-condition, with some being able to be powered on again.
Most Xeno Artifacts are rather ancient, and use metal and electricity, as harsh conditions can easily wear at the old technology. Xeno Artifacts that are more primitive in design are treated with a very high amount of caution, considering that they could crumble at a moment's notice. These are also very rare, explained by the quickly changing conditions around them. However, some Xeno Artifacts can be very new, but simply anomalous in origin or nature.
Modern-Day Discoveries
Many Xeno Artifacts are still discovered to this day, linking the past to the present. Some nations even find their own artifacts, buried deep in their planet's ground. Historians and archaeologists can usually figure out their function, since they are a lot more simple nowadays. However, some primitive and many modernized findings of unexplainable technologies are often found, and are placed in the Anomalous Object Repository (AOR).
The most famous instance of unexplainable technology comes from Sedrua, which is the oldest nation alive. Over their millions and millions of years of occupation, they have life behind the most Xeno Artifacts. Some of them, such as the Intergalactic Gateway Network, was still functional, and it did not take too long for them to get working once more. Another popular example was the QPF's infamous Vaults, which held many functional and valuable artifacts. These artifacts were also the reason that the QPF was able to withstand the forces of the CoB.
Xeno Artifacts in History
Xeno Artifacts, as previously mentioned have appeared many times in history. The most notable of which have been archived and famed for their use in history. Whether if it was for the benefit or deficit of people, these Xeno Artifacts are still regarded as some of the most important innovations and devices in history. | The Hummer | The Hummer is a destructive Xeno Artifact, which gets its nickname from its aching electromagnetic humming. Utilizing the Continuum, and many of its anomalous effects, The Hummer could easily destroy or alter ships in a harmful fashion. | Essence of the Ancients | The Essence of the Ancients is one of the most enigmatic and mysterious Xeno Artifacts. While it is the newest Xeno Artifact made by the Quintet Puontari Federations, it is still renowned for being very mysterious. It is known that the Essence of the Ancients is a greenish, very nonvolatile, and thick liquid. This liquid is known for piercing through the protection of almost any material. The Essence of the Ancients can also kill any biological and mechanical lifeform in moments. However, this was very rarely used throughout the War of the Ancients, and as a result it is still mysterious.
