Zephyr Gravemasker

Exposed to a strange mutagenic ooze while on a school field alongside four other students, Zephyr Gravemasker was mutated from a normal high senior into a mutant anthropomorphic variant of a Plateosaurus. taken in by DeinonyCorp scientist Zet Langston to try and reverse the mutation.

However the treatment went wrong and the mutation excelerated allowing him to shift not only from human to mutated form, but to shift into a full-sized Plateosaurus. When a mutated sea cucumber attacked the DeinonyCorps building, Zephyr drew upon his love of sci-fi movies and comic books and rushed to help, protecting the civilians in and around the building, he formed a team with the other four mutated teenagers and they were able to fend of the terrorizing echinoderm and seal it away in DeinonyCorps. Underground Biodome. His work did not go unnoticed, as CEO Victor Veloci was quite impressed by his show of strength and teamwork,, and concerned by the prospect of the primordial ooze creating more powerful mutants he elected to form the DinoForce to combat and contain these dangers and to otherwise protect the city of Orca Point from an ever more dangerous world. Zephyr would be one of the primary members of this new team, so Victor allowed them to stay at the HQ and would help her learn to control her newfound power.

History

He has lived with his grandparents Fritz and Ilse since he was 5 years old, after his parents Arthur and Lucy were killed by the Mutant Rhinoceros Iguana Diceros, whom Arthur had a hand in the creation of. Their deaths were blamed on a freak car accident though, which is what caused Zephyr's obsessions with Comics and Dinos.

While he was being treated for his mutation, a Sea Cucumber, mutated by the same ooze that changed him, was rampaging downtown, searching for more ooze to consume, ooze that was being held in the DeinonyCorps underground labs.

His actions inspired the rest of his team to officially become a team, and to use their mutant powers for good.

Personality

Zephyr is a big fan of comic books and dinosaurs, making his situation a literal dream come true. However he is prone to being overdramatic and lots of complaining, expecting his new life as a mutant to work like the many comics he’s read. Unfortunately, this mindset usually lands him and the team in trouble or at the very least makes him kind of annoying. But he has a good heart and aims to help anyone in need, regardless of how big or small the problem may be.

He currently embraces a sort of drop-out/stoner-type identity even though he’s never so much as touched a joint.
