Zet Langston

Zet Langston is the head of technologies at DeinonyCorps. as well as one of the three administrators and mentors of the DinoForce.

Appearance

In his true, Saurornitholestes form Zet is covered in rusty orange feathers with small black speckles, his underbelly is a lighter burnt orange. His wing and tail feathers have black-tips on them. He has gray and orange scales on his muzzle, hands and feet. Atop his head he has a cockatoo-like crest that he can erect and flatten at will.

In his Human morph Zet is pale-skinned with green-eyes, shaggy, dirty blond hair that reaches down to his middle back. He is thin and scrawny,

Notably as with the other dinosaur-turned-human mutants he only has four fingers, lacking a pinkie finger.

Personality

A mad genius with a flair for the dramatic, a love of tricks and a distaste for any sort of authority (barring Victor and Theira who are the only people who can reel him back into reality). Zet loves to flaunt his differences from humanity, reveling in the shocked reactions he gets from folks. But despite his playful nature he is incredibly intelligent and is perhaps one the greatest inventor of his era, and amongst the top 10 in the modern day, but often he tends to neglect how his creations work or overlook the chance of user-error leading to the occasional problem.

History

Zet was born in the Late Cretaceous period, 66 million years ago, raised on a rural homestead by his parents alongside his brother and sister. He soon showed a great skill and affinity for working with machines and technology along with exceptional levels of intelligence.

He soon found himself rapidly climbing through the academic system eventually being the youngest Saurornitholestes to be accepted into the Laramidian Science Institute. Although he was proud of his accomplishments he couldn't help but feel alienated, constantly being around theropods much older than him.

After a few months he met another young genius, Theira Vanderloh , and the two became fast friends, working on various projects together and gaining a reputation in the institute as the ultimate team. Still later, Zet asked Theira if she would be interested in going out on a date with him, to which she emphatically accepted. That night they went out but were only able to catch a few small frogs and lizards.

After their 14th date, Zet asked a question he had been dreading since they began dating. He invited her over to his home where he had built a proposal nest, and asked her if she would consider being his mate. Theira agreed instantly, and the two married soon after.

The next week the pair of them had been invited by Zet's other friend at the institute, a Dakotaraptor, Victor Veloci to participate in the testing of experimental cryogenic preservation chambers. To which Zet agreed.

Unfortunately on the day of testing a meteorite struck Earth, marking the beginning of the K-Pg Extinction Event. Out of desperation he, Theira and the four other scientists took shelter in the pods, but not before being doused in Primordial Ooze, flung out of the Earth's mantle by the impact and carried by the shockwave. (Or was being studied elsewhere in the Institute)

Zet was the first original character conceptualized for the 'DinoSquad Reboot' series that would eventually become Saurian War, though originally he was going to be a Zetheilian.
