colony world.

History
The largest object in the
asteroid belt, the dwarf planet was subject to study by early spacefaring
humans in the early 21st century. The first probe to reach the world
was the Dawn probe in early 2015. The dwarf planet was studied by the probe. Subsequent
probes discovered a liquid water ocean beneath the surface.

In the early 36th
century a group of humans decided to attempt to terraform the small world and
use it to explore the universe without leaving their world. They decided to use
genetic engineering techniques to use on their children so as to make them an
entirely new species that could live on such a low gravity world.

When the terraforming was
complete the world was even more alien than Luna. The humans (or Ceresians) who
lived on the surface resembled 30 to 60 CM (1-2 ft) tall fairylike creatures
with glowing wings.

When the biosphere was finished
(with the generous help of AfrikaCorp) the world was outfitted with a nearly
invisible dome to keep the atmosphere in as well as to generate a fake sun and
heat when they were in deep space. The dome could display either a sun or a
random starfield. The world was also equipped with large Warp Drive engines and
other types of standard slower than light travel so they could traverse the
galaxy.

The asteroid (3) Juno was captured
and placed in orbit of Ceres to provide the world with tides. It was kept in
orbit by the massive warp field generated by the Ceres’ engines.

Ceres is what is normally called
a worldship, planets that are self-sustaining and that can travel through
space, some even being able to enter warp.

Culture
The Ceresians, or fairies as
they are nicknamed, live for the most part in a pretechnological society. They
are, as of 10000, somewhat aware of their high tech (or magical in their words)
past. Some of the Ceresians have lived in what is known as Cyntrl Tower, the
bridge of the planetary starship. They are well aware of their status among the
stars and keep in constant touch with the Confederacy in case their worldship
breaks down.

Most Ceresians worship what they
call the Great Mother, a.k.a. the founder of their colony, Astra. They believe
that one day Astra will return and help them regain the magical abilities they
lost. This belief may actually come to past as Astra vanished near a black hole
ten years after Ceres left the Sol System.

Ceresians are vegetarian and
live more in harmony with the animals than most other human civilizations in
the Confederacy.

Physical Description
Ceres has a diameter of 975 km,
with an extremely low gravitational index of 0.03 G. It has an atmospheric pressure
of 1.3. It has an artificial day of 1.003 Earth days. It is 4.5 billion years old.

Climate
With an artificially kept mean
temperature of 27 °C the world is a bit warmer than Earth. The plants are tall
and have large leaves strong and big enough for Ceresians to sit on.
Makemake was discovered in 2005. It was a target of NASA's Kuiper Belt Exploration Program (KBEP) and was first visited in 2071. It was shortly colonised after. It is considered impossible to terraform due to it's extreme cold, and as such there are not many inhabitants. It's moon was never cared for, due to it's extremely small size.

Colonies
The planet has multiple colonies all across it. The people never go outside, as the radiation would basically kill them due to there being no atmosphere and the cold. They live in airlocked buildings, sort of like early martian colonies by Spacex.

MK 2
MK 2 is MakeMake's single moon. It is incredibly small. The moon is tidally locked to MakeMake, similar to Luna before terraforming, however this doesn't effect the moon itself much. It has no inhabitants, as there is basically no reason to live there, and no real way to land safely.
It was discovered on 28th December 2004 by Mike Brown at the Palomar Observatory in the United States on Earth.

Unlike most objects in the Sol System, Haumea rotates incredibly quickly at nearly 4 hours. Due to this fast rotation, it appears oblated, or more of an egg-shape instead of an almost spherical shape.

Its orbit is close to another KBO, Makemake.
Discovery
Discovered by astronomers at the Palomar Observatory in the United States on 28th December 2004, Haumea appeared as a fuzzy spot with the best, available technologies of the time. Over time, the dwarf planet's uniqueness was uncovered: its rotation period and shape.

In 2005 the Palomar Observatory discovered 2 moons, Namaka and Hi'iaka.
Space Exploration
Haumea was first visited by space probes in 2066 and revealed the first close-up images of the ice world. After a year, the first human space station was constructed in orbit around the dwarf planet. It supported up to eighteen crew members and was equiped with sensors, cameras and docking ports, to allow more space station attachments.

History

The moon is tidally locked to MakeMake, similar to Luna, however this doesn't effect the moon itself much. It has no inhabitants, as there is basically no reason to live there, and no real way to land safely.
The most massive dwarf planet in the Sol System, Eris is a frozen dwarf planet beyond the orbit of Pluto on a 560-year orbit. It has one moon called Dysnomia, both discovered in 2005. It was first visited by space probes in 2062 to search for a suitable location on the dwarf planet for a human colony. It also is a very bright object in the sky.
Discovery
Eris was discovered by Mike Brown, titled the Pluto Killer (for demoting Pluto's planetary status), Chad Trujillo and David Rabinowitz on the 5th January 2005. It was later discovered that Eris has only one moon, named Dysnomia, in a perfectly circular orbit, unlike Eris' orbit. Eris' discovery was not announced until 29th July 2005, a few months later, probably to confirm Eris' existence in the Kuiper Belt. Upon discovery, it was originally going to be named Xena, after Mike Brown wanted to name more objects after female deities.

At the time of the it's discovery, Eris was too far away to send a probe to, due to the technological limits of the early 21st century. Up until 2062, the first high resolution images of Eris were taken by probe making a close approach to the dwarf planet.
Space Exploration
NASA, among other space companies, had launched the Kuiper Belt Exploration Program (KBEP) in 2045 to, obviously, explore the outer Solar System, including Pluto, Eris, Haumea, Makemake and Sedna. Several probes were sent to Eris between 2061 and 2064 to aid the final step: colonisation. A space station was placed into Eris orbit in September 2064 with a crew of five, monitoring oxygen levels, scans of Eris and Dysnomia and deploying rovers and landers to find the best spot on the ice world to setup a colony.

A manned mining station was sent to the surface of Eris to begin harvesting its ice, converting it into water for liquid fuel rockets, although warp drives were becoming mainstream for the human race.

Moons
Eris has one moon called Dysnomia, discovered at the same time as Eris. At roughly 684 km in diameter, it is home to less than a million humans. No other moons have been discovered since 2005.

One of the four Galilean moons of Jupiter and homeworld of the Kya.

Overview
This once frozen I-Class world is now a beautiful temperate O-Class world. It has a new mean
temperature of 16 °C
(60.7 °F) , an atmospheric
pressure of 1.4 and a new day of 23 hours and 54 minutes. The 1:2:4 resonance with Ganymede and Io makes the day changing by less than a minute.

What was underneath the crust of Europa was a mystery until
NASA’s Europa Clipper mission dug through the ice. What it found astonished
humanity. Whether we were alone had been tentatively answered. The oceans of
that world were teeming not with microscopic life but massive alien life forms.
The most intelligent lifeforms on Europa were the Kya.

Missions to Europa began in earnest after this discovery.
There were even proposals to terraform the moon. After a century of study it
was concluded that melting the ice and giving the moon a thick warm atmosphere
wouldn’t adversely affect the Europan lifeforms. In fact, many studies seemed
to indicate that it would increase their living space. Terraforming began in 2170.

Slowly, the moon was warmed with focused sunlight and gases
from Jupiter were imported and used in the creation of the new atmosphere.
In 2272 the terraforming of the moon was completed.

Population
The human population of Europa is 330 million, most live on
floating cities above the water. The number of Kya are around 400 million.

The Europan culture is a fishing community mostly, as some
Europan fish analogues are one of the most delicious meats in the Sol System.

Climate
The entire world is covered by ocean and since there is no
land mass to block air currents, the winds continuously blow across the world
rather predictably, and as such the storms of Europa are very predictable.

The temperature is constantly springlike.

Atmospherics
Akir's atmosphere consists mostly of ammonia and methane. There are many clouds and one single storm in the planet's atmosphere.

Lifeforms
Like Kolatio, Akir supported life once. These lifeforms were multicellular and very advanced in technology. However, they were very violent. About 50 million years ago, they exterminated themselves in a gigantic nuclear war, resulting in a new atmospheric composition, a high amount of nuclear radiation on sea level and the extermination of all lifeforms on the planet.
appearance as a dim glowing band arching across the night sky. The term
"Milky Way" is a translation of the Latin via lactea, from the Greek

The diameter of the Milky Way
from end to end is roughly 126,000 light years. The Milky Way contains over 400
billion stars, the majority of which have planetary systems. The Sol System is
located within the Milky Way disk, about 27,000 light-years from the Galactic
Center, on the inner edge of one of the spiral-shaped concentrations of gas and
dust called the Orion Arm. At the center of the Milky Way there exists a
Aleion is an E-Class moon of Bellerophon (RS 8474-1353-8-10982573-228 in 0.980) and was the first E-Class world to be discovered orbiting a frozen R-Class world.

Physical
Aleion has a diameter of 8852.6 km and a gravity of 0.4 G. It has a semimajor axis of 359002.6 km from its parent planet. Its standard day length is 2.9 Earth days. The planetary system is around 7.2 billion years old. It is the only major world, the other moons being asteroids.

Climate
Aleion has an axial tilt of 36°41’. The planet’s mean average temperature is 16.9 °C and it’s atmospheric pressure at sea level was at 0.4 ATM before terraforming. It currently is near earthlike standards. Before the terraforming the continents were mostly deserts - but they were seeded with many tree seedlings. Soon, it became a natural paradise.

History
R-Class worlds were no mystery to the Confederacy. Many had been discovered wandering through the galaxy with hosts of dead worlds. However, the Thulcandran scout ship that discovered this planet in 3229 was shocked to discover a relatively warm terrestrial moon dimly illuminated by the star Alnilam located only 7.2 light years away with an apparent magnitude of -9m.7, slightly less bright than the full moon from Earth. It was also illuminated by many surrounding nebulae. Furthermore, it was geologically active and the carbon dioxide rich atmosphere managed to keep the surface warm. In fact, it was suitable for humans to walk on the surface with only a breathing apparatus - needed due to the large amount of carbon dioxide.

This caused a surge in the search for R-Class worlds. The planet was intensely studied for half a century before the Terragen CEO applied for a terraforming license of the moon. The atmosphere was carefully scrubbed while at the same time massive glowing orbs of light and heat were built and placed in orbit of the moon in order to give the illusion of a 24 hour day/night cycle, and make up for the lost heat from the lack of carbon dioxide. These mini-suns were, when you strip down the outside, large fusion generators. One was not enough to provide heat and light to Aleion’s surface so a large half circle was built, giving it the appearance of a large band of light crossing the sky.

Plant and animal life from Earth was brought and the planet was seeded, speeding along the terraforming process, by 3351, the first rogue moon was terraformed and colonized by member worlds of the Thulcandran Federation and other surrounding human worlds, all eager to live on the unique world - most famous at the time for its sky.

In peacetime, the world is known for being a perfect place to evade the hustle and bustle of everyday galactic life. During times of war it is a perfect place to evade invading forces. A neutral world, Aleion restricts the amount of people who can visit at a time.

It currently has a permanent population of 976 million, although there are many more visitors.
This world was once a rogue frozen R-Class body hurtling through the universe until its path was disturbed by Jupiter’s gravity well. It headed towards Sol on a collision course with the gas giant. A small asteroid diverging company decided to attempt to alter its course so that it would become the new first planet of the Sol System. It was basically practice, but they were overjoyed when it worked. The method they used was to change the orbits of a few hundred asteroids so that they swung by the moving planet, then out to Jupiter and then back, using the gravitational attraction to move Vulcan in the desired direction. This slowed its approach and altered its vector so that it would enter into a close orbit of Sol. As the planet approached Sol, the increasing heat from the sun melted long frozen gases on Vulcan and its closely orbiting moon Hephaestus, creating atmospheres on both worlds and turning both into hot D-Class worlds.

After the moon settled into its new 18.8 day orbit, the world was settled by a few scientists who would use the opportunity Vulcan provided to study Sol. The planet orbited Sol at a mere 0.34 AU. It has a rotational period of 30 hours.

The new mean temperature of Vulcan was 459.5 °C (859.1°F) and had a gravity of 1.2 Gs. It has a diameter of 14996 km (9998 mi). In its past it had obviously seen a bunch of heavy bombardment. Its new atmosphere, which has a pressure of 0.2 and is composed mostly of water vapor can still generate a massive storm near the eternal noon of the side facing the sun. It rages constantly.

Population
Vulcan is too close to the sun to terraform, so most live near the terminator of the planet. The planet is home to over 1,000 scientists who study the sun.

Climate
The world has a climate like the former venus.

The planet has a strong magnetic field that deflects much of the radiation.

Simud is the name given to the
dwarf planet turned moon that was moved into orbit of Mars.

Overview
An iron rich world
with a mass one fourth that of Mars, Simud was once much like Luna, a frozen Class-S world. It has a
diameter of 1786 km (978 mi) a semimajor axis of 49861 km (30982.2 mi) an orbital
period of nearly 16 days and a day length of 23 hours and 30 minutes. It has a
mean temperature of 2.6 °C
(36.6 °F).

Discovered in 2090 by an asteroid driver probe, this rocky body caught
the attention of scientists due to its iron core and its mass. Pre-terraforming
the rocky body was pockmarked with asteroid strikes, a few of which were
massive and one of which had darkened one entire side of the planet so that no
light was reflected back. It was placed in orbit in 2233.

In 2501 the method of terraforming that had been used on Luna was repeated on this world, and within half a millennium Simud was
another temperate Class-E world with more recognizable genetically engineered
plant and animal life. All former smaller asteroid impacts eroded fast. By 2811 Simud was completely terraformed.
Population
This moon has just recently crossed the one billion
threshold and is currently at a population of 2.2 billion. Simudian culture
allowed for only two children per household until recently, and after that law
was rescinded, the population grew faster.

Climate
The moon is mostly forest now, coniferous in certain areas
and deciduous in others. Plants grow faster and taller here as has been seen on
various other lower gravity worlds. For the most part the weather is cool and
clear with rainfalls that last for a day occurring once or twice a week.

The only terraformed moon of Saturn.

Overview
Once a frozen T-Class moon and the the only moon in the system with a thick methane
atmosphere, the moon has since been transformed into a temperate E-Class paradise. With a new
mean temperature of a cool 13.8°C (56.8 °F) and a day of 25 hours and 33
minutes, this world is the last major trade route to the outer colonies.

Terraforming began in 2251
after it was determined that no life existed in the methane oceans. Most of the
methane was mined out of the atmosphere for use elsewhere throughout the
system. Massive magnifiers were placed in orbit to warm the moon and engineered
microorganisms were deployed to manufacture oxygen. At the same time many rocky
asteroids and comets were diverted to speed up the rotation of Titan to give it
an earthlike day and to create landmasses.

By 2431
Titan was thriving with engineered plant and animal life.

Population
Titan’s population of around 4.6 billion is the largest
concentrated population on any world farthest from the sun. Like most planets
with a low gravity most get around with flight suits.

Climate
Titan’s climate is a few degrees cooler than Earth’s thanks
to the vast quantities of greenhouse gasses released into the atmosphere.
Genetically engineered plants and animals thrive in the spidery forests of the
moon.

Because it orbits the ringed planet, Titan is a great
tourist attraction for its view of Saturn and because of its massive tides
which the more adventurous love to surf.

/work in progress :D/

History
Liminibus was formed more than 331 million years ago. Single cell life formed 177 million years ago, and then multicellular photosynthesizing life arose 278 million years ago.

Liminibus has been known to humanity since 2102, having been discovered by NASA. It was named after Linda Liminibus, who was the governor of the American state South Dakota at the time of its discovery.

The first spacecraft to reach Liminibus was the unmanned probe called Tiller of Soil. The first human to set foot on Liminibus was cosmonaut Srirasmi Derfkins in 2339.

Humans colonists began to arrive on Liminibus in January 2398. These first Liminibusians set up the settlement New Mumbai, after the city of Mumbai on Earth. Jiang Li Martinez was elected as the first Gubernator of Liminibus.

In 2448, the people of Liminibus celebrated their 50 year anniversary. By then, the population had increased from 1,500 in 2398 to 13,800.

In 2531, all but one species of the native Liminibus life went extinct. The only remaining species, the fern-like Dongflorps (Dongius Florpia), survived only because the people of Liminibus cultivate it for food.

Being one of the more far flung colony worlds, Liminibus did not see much growth for 1000 years until humanity began spreading out farther into the universe. Liminibus experienced a population boom in the early 37th century, when the number of inhabitants rose from 121,000 to 4,901,000 in a span of thirty years.

In 3654, the Union of Humanity (one of the successor states of United Earth) experienced its 11th major economic depression since it was founded in 2997. For this reason many worlds under UH governance seceded, some becoming independent single-planet nations, others forming new coalitions. Liminibus, with its newly gained wealth and economic power, was one such planet that seceded. As is natural for humans, a bloody civil war was fought among three factions: the Union of Humanity supporters, the independent Liminibus supporters, and Boronskepp Corp, a corrupt business conglomeration known for exploiting entire worlds for labor and resources (see: the Terbavush Conflicts). This nine year long war that was called the War of Three turned into a stalemate, and all three factions divided up Liminibus into three entities: The Free Nation of Liminibus, who fought for liberation from the Union of Humanity, the Autonomous Province of Liminibus, under control by the UH, and the Boronskepp governed Liminibus Special Administrative Zone.

The tenuous peace among these factions did not last for long. In 3688, the Boronskepp Corp declared war on the Union of Humanity to claim its part of Liminibus. The UH at this time was fighting several other rebellions, and Liminibus was much too far out of the UH's reach, and suffered defeat in the August of 3695. This war, called the "Struggle for the Liberation of the Oppressed" by Boronskepp, and the "Heroic Defense against Boronskepp Expansion" by those who were on the opposing side, and the Union of Humanity - Boronskepp War by those who wish to remain neutral, was even bloodier than the War of Three. The Free Nation of Liminibus declared war on Boronskepp for the UH's side, but pulled out in mid 3690 when they realized how much stronger Boronskepp had become. Though the UH side fought til the bitter end, inflicting several thousand casualties on Boronskepp mercenaries, they ultimately were defeated in the Battle of Kemperlu on the 3rd of August, 3695. The UH Chief Administrator of Liminibus, Carol Dewhite Sploogehead, was executed summarily after she signed the UH Liminibus Instrument of Secession. And so Boronskepp Corp became ever more powerful.

Throughout this war, as well as after, the people of the Free State of Liminibus were very much afraid. They feared for their freedom, for the safety of their families, and the security of their future. Once shown that the might of Boronskepp Corp grew each day, President Dermot Eclair declared a state of military awareness. Every able-bodied adult in the Free State was to report to their nearest military base to be trained in the use of arms for the inevitable war with Boronskepp. Weapons and ammunition were issued to every household, and children practicing shooting rifles at school.

President Eclair was well aware that Boronskepp agents had infiltrated the Free State's government. He purged (read: kidnapped and executed) those whom he suspected of espionage and disloyalty. Because of his erratic and paranoid behavior he was quickly impeached and was replaced by Omar Jerfoff. President Jerfoff imposed draconian laws on the people of the Free State. He implemented strict training regimens, rationing of food and water, and expanded the powers of the Office of President, as well as extended the term limit from three to four (a term being five years). He collaborated with the wealthy elite to consolidate his control over the general population. Schoolchildren were extensively drilled to unquestionably obey the government and to turn in any who held negative views of President Jerfoff.

Many felt that the Free State was turning into a dictatorship, and tried to flee the planet of Liminibus entirely, but President Jerfoff declared that no citizen of the Free State would leave Liminibus under any circumstances. Lingering UH agents cooperated with Liminibusians who sought asylum and helped them escape to the Milky Way or Andromeda. Those Liminibusians who were not so lucky to flee had to contend with the ever-growing tyrannical rule of a Jerfoffian "Free" State.

President Jerfoff, as corrupt and cruel as he was, would never allow his little slice of the universe to be taken over by the plutocratic executives of Boronskepp. Commercials demonizing Boronskepp Corp would run on Free State television every fifteen minutes, depicting graphic images of people who were killed in the Union of Humanity - Boronskepp War. Much of the populace became radicalized and nearly every aspect of society was appropriated to the destruction of Boronskepp. It got to the point where expressing non-violent solutions would land one in a political prisoner's camp. One such notable incident occurred in the June of 3712 when a dissenter named Herman Vancher was beaten bloody by the Federal Peacekeepers, the Free State's police force. Protests broke out all across the country, some involving shootouts between the protestors and the Federal Peacekeepers. On 16 June 3712 the infamous Ar Rass Massacre happened, where a three-hour urban battle in the City of Ar Rass resulted in the deaths of 23 protestors and 14 Federal Peacekeepers. President Jerfoff soon learned that giving everyone weapons was detrimental to his aims, and he ordered that only government agents would be allowed to own arms. He issued the Safety Act of 3712 on the 1st of July, ordering every Free State citizen to turn in their government issued ZPOM-17 laser rifle and ammunition. This led to another violent series of riots, which were called the July Revolts. Half the nation called for the resignation of President Jerfoff, while the other half condemned the revolutionaries as Boronskepp sympathizers. The revolutionaries began to unite under a single organization, called the Liminibusians against Tyranny, led by Elisabet Frederica Shah, a Free State senator and outspoken critic of the Jerfoff regime. Senator Shah rallied the LaT to the Free State capital of Kumasi East, stormed the Capitol Building, and apprehended all high ranking Jerfoffian officials, including the President himself.
Jerfoff was hanged at the Old Derfkins Monument, his noose tied to the massive outstretched arm that pointed forward to the progress of humanity. Drunken celebrations erupted throughout the country, and public shaming of Jerfoff supporters became a Free State pastime overnight. The next morning, on 2 February 3713, Senator Shah was appointed near unanimously as Supreme Minister of the "New Free State."

While all this was happening, the Boronskepp controlled Liminibus Special Administrative Zone had to deal with their own problems. Life in the LSAZ was hard and brutal, as civilians were required to devote the most of their day working in giant Boronskepp factories. The LSAZ was governed (or ruled, as some would call it) by the one who held the office of Benevolent Authoritarian, the ill-reputed Gregory Barney Webstock. Webstock was a major shareholder of Boronskepp, and wielded significant influence within the company. He was appointed to the role by the Advisory Board, the mysterious group that heads Boronskepp. By all means, Webstock was a puppet of the Advisory Board, and would obey as long as he could keep power. At the behest of his superiors, the Benevolent Authoritarian militarized society to prepare for the inevitable war with the Free State. The Liminibus Espionage Agency, established shortly after the end of the War of Three, was known to have funded several separatist groups within the Free State in order to sow discord. These groups would carry out acts of terrorism, such as the infamous "Friobolo Snyper Incident". Two radical Jerfofians, angered by the brutal death of Omar Jerfoff blew up the Bridge of Peace and Love on the Interlim 556 highway with Boronskepp supplied munitions. This resulted in the deaths of 661 Free State civilians and the total collapse of the Bridge of Peace and Love.

In the New Free State, Supreme Minister Shah's regime began to demilitarize, no longer mandating early morning drills and issuing ZPOM-17s to every household, as well as disposing of any of Jerfoff's cronies. One such notable Jerfoffian was Lyman Sandbridge, the Minister of the State. He was able to escape from the clutches of the New State, and though he was conditioned by Jerfoff to hate Boronskepp with every fiber of his being, he defected to the LSAZ, where he supplied Boronskepp with classified information about the Free State.
In 2101 the URSS sent three colony ships to colonize TRAPPIST-1 d, e and f. By 2410 all three planets were terraformed.
The largest dwarf planet in the Sol System, Eris is a frozen dwarf planet beyond the orbit of Pluto on a 560-year orbit.

One of the four Galilean moons of Jupiter.

Overview
One of
the most recent Sol System bodies to be terraformed. the former cold S-Class moon turned temperate E-Class has an atmosphere now stuffed with
greenhouse gasses at 1.3 atmospheres and a new day of over one day, the mean
temperature is a warm 23.3°C
(74 °F).A heavily volcanic world, the technology to change this
deadly moon into a place where humans could live was not available until the 2740s. Creating an atmosphere was the least of their
worries. At the time of terraforming, Io only had around 2,000 scientists and
their family living deep beneath the surface in hollowed out towns.

The terraforming began in 2752 when massive magnets were placed in
orbit and miles beneath the surface of the planet. Massive drills then began to
dig into the surface and were attached to massive space elevators which
channeled the excess geothermal energy into the orbiting magnets and soon
starships leaving the system stopped by to borrow excess energy from the moon.

Once that was accomplished an atmosphere was introduced as
well as desert plants and animals, as those funding the terraforming wanted a
mostly desert world. Terraforming to specifications was completed in 3131.

Population
Despite having been terraformed millennia ago, it is
the least populated of the major terraformed worlds with only 300 million
inhabitants. The population is made up of mostly Arab descendants as they have
adapted to the desert climates of many worlds remarkably well.

Most Ioians are nomadic, moving across the warm desert
volcanic landscape most of the time. Most of the small settlements exist around
the small seas that dot the world.

Climate
While the technology of the time could have made Io a
relative paradise, the settlers wanted a desert environment that they were used
to, so the world was seeded with desert plants and animals engineered to adapt
to the environment. There is more land on the moon than water, which pools in small
seas.

Despite the terraforming effort there is still a large
amount of volcanism, leading the night side of the planet dotted with lava.
This, in addition to the many greenhouse gasses, keeps the moon warm.
The dwarf planet was visited by the New Horizons space probe on 14th July 2015, sending the first images of Pluto back to NASA.
Discovery
Pluto was discovered during the search for a Planet X, a planet believed to have been gravitationally tugging on Neptune's orbit. Although Pluto is not massive enough to do this, Pluto was essentially classified as the ninth planet for 76 years until 2006 when the IAU reclassified it as a dwarf planet, after the discovery of objects like Pluto in the Kuiper Belt, such as Eris, Makemake, Haumea and hundreds more.

Young man Clyde Tombaugh was the discoverer of the dwarf planet Pluto on February 28th 1930. It was the first "planet" to be discovered within a century of Neptune's discovery in 1846.
Atmosphere
Pluto has a very thin but noticeable atmosphere of mostly nitrogen with some methane. It can only be detected when the dwarf planet occults a bright star. At its closest point to Sol, the atmosphere is temporarily produced from the ice on the surface. As it gets further away, the atmosphere collapses back on to the surface for decades until the next perihelion.

<span style="font-size:18px;">Space Exploration</span>
Although it remained a mystery for decades, NASA launched the New Horizons space probe on January 19th 2006 and arrived at Pluto, roughly 9 years later on 14th July 2015 where it made a close approach to the dwarf planet to collect data about its surface, atmosphere, composition and moons.

NASA and other space companies launched the Kuiper Belt Exploration Program in 2045 in order to establish more human colonies in the Solar System. It also allowed for the excessive mining of asteroids in the Kuiper Belt which gave supplies to the new colonies in the outer Solar System.

A colony was established on Pluto in 2060, a year after the invention of the Warp Drive. However, in 2990 the colonies, which consisted of around 100,000 humans living in domed cities by this time, were relocated by the URSS. The explanation given was that the planet was the perfect distance to perform weapons tests. The entire world was then cornered off after the formation of the Confederacy of Humanity.

Pluto is widely believed to be the location of The Pluto Vault, although if it does exist, various measures are taken to keep it secret.
Moons
Pluto is orbited by five moons, one large moon, called Charon, and four other asteroid moons, perhaps captured or formed with Pluto in the early Solar System. Pluto and Charon are massive enough to create a binary planet while the four other moons orbit the barycenter, which resides outside Pluto, not inside the dwarf planet.

Charon was later colonized in 2061 by the Kuiper Belt Exploration Program. Like Pluto, the colonists were forcibly relocated by the URSS at the same time as Pluto to one of Neptune's moons.
The system containing a multitude of asteroids and comets and eight planets from Vulcan, the closest planet, to Neptune, the furthest planet.

History
Sol was formed around 4.68 billion years ago in a manner typical of its type. Like most stars, it was surrounded by a protoplanetary disc which, over the course of many millions of years, began to coalesce and formed hundreds of protoplanets. Most of these protoplanets collided with each other, allowing only a few planets to win the battle of cosmic asteroid attacks. Forming with these planets was the young planet Earth which was believed to have collided with another hypothetical planet known as Theia to have created Luna (Earth's only moon).

When Mercury formed, it was the first planet, but it was moved by Humans in Venus orbit.

Out of all the worlds of the system, only Earth and Europa, one of Jupiter's major moons, had all the essential ingredients to initiate the development and evolution of life within the water oceans. While Europan life could only stay in the subglacial oceans, Earth's lifeforms soon migrated out of the water and begun life on land. Roughly 200,000 years ago, the first Humans appeared and migrated out of the African continent and spread across the globe.
Future
Once the Sun reaches an age of approximately 10 billion years, it will inflate and contract several times, eventually becoming a Red Giant, consuming Vulcan and Venus and possibly the Earth. The habitable zone will move further outwards. After this stage, the Sun will begin to release its outer layers into interstellar space and creating a spectacular planetary nebula for a short time before disappearing from sight. During this time, Pluto will possibly become habitable.

The Sun will then become a white dwarf. This stage in the Sun's life will be calm and a very long time. After trillions of years, the white dwarf Sun will become a black dwarf.
The largest Galilean moon and largest moon in the entire
system.

Overview
The once Cold I-Class moon of Jupiter has been terraformed into a temperate O-Class world. It has a mean temperature of 15.8 °C (60.4 °F), an atmospheric
pressure of 1.4 and a new day of 22 hours and 50 minutes.

Unlike Europa, Ganymede’s
former subsurface oceans were lifeless, making the moon a perfect candidate for
terraforming. The surface was heated and gasses were introduced as well as a
new magnetic field being put in place by use of large magnetic captured
asteroids.

Terraforming of the icy moon began in 2090, large mirrors placed in orbit to melt the ice. A thicker atmosphere was introduced with gasses from Jupiter. By 2267 the terraforming was completed.

The colonists of Ganymede brought
with them many aquatic lifeforms, mostly saltwater fish and mammals and carefully
introduced them into the moon’s new oceans. They took to their new ocean
eagerly, spreading fast.

Population
The capital of Jovian trade, this moon has a global
population of 3.3 billion. Most Ganymedians have undergone genetic manipulation
to become similar to mythical merfolk and have insisted that non-aquatic humans refer to them as such. They live in massive underground cities (the largest of which is New Atlantis),
living off of the ocean lifeforms that have grown to call this moon their home.

The rest live on floating cities that spend their days
fishing out of their artificial freshwater lakes and out of the ocean.

Climate
Like most oceanic worlds, its climate is very warm and
predictable as there are no land masses to block air currents.
