Arbav formed as a small planet orbiting close to the orbit of the gas giant Sirula. Within a billions years, Arbav was captured as a large moon of Sirula. This change is largely believed to be the 'kickstart' that life needed. More energy was pumped into Arbav's system, and abiogenesis occurred. Almost immediately, single celled organisms arrived. The abiogenesis occurred on land, something which is still obvious today with the lack of life in the lakes and seas. After a few hundred million years, the organisms merged into multicellular creatures. Soon afterwards life took to the skies. A peculiar aspect of life on Arbav is that is never developed plants or fungi. It only had animal and insectoid life. Life in the skies was tough, and very competitive. This is the main arena for life on Arbav. It had the perfect conditions for intelligence.

Arbav is a temperate desertic moon with a few inland seas. This world gave rise to the Ialkor, an avian species that has since grew to cover the entire of Eulciar.

History

Arbav formed as a small planet orbiting close to the orbit of the gas giant Bael. Within a billions years, Arbav was captured as a large moon of Bael.

Within ten millions years, the first modern Ialkor arrived on scene. They quickly developed a nomadic civilizations, with most members never touching the ground. Their development was like lightning, reaching the atomic age within a thousand years of the agricultural revolution.

Soon they industrialised the ground, stripping it of it's life. They build many orbital habitats to contain the remnants of the biosphere, but it was too late. Almost half of the original life on Arbav is extinct because of the actions of the Ialkor. Mortified by what they had done, the Ialkor set out to protect the remaining life on their world, and when they found the other four worlds, the life on their surfaces. They established inter-species governments with their younger siblings, culminating in the Great Garinia War, the expulsion of the Nesor and the establishment of Manaerin.

Biology

File:Ialkor.png
The typical Ialkor

Arbav has a carbon-based biosphere, similar to other worlds like Aegyn and Vecroxmer. However, there is a complete absence of plants on the surface of Arbav. They just never evolved. Animal-wise however, Arbav used to have one of the largest Animalia kingdoms ever discovered. Over a trillion multicellular creatures were documented/predicted, with only just over a billion remaining today. The skies were were over 70% of those trillion resided, and were the first to be wiped out when the Ialkor rose.

Environment

The environment of Arbav is uniform across it's surface, with only temperature decreasing with latitude. As the solar day of Arbav is over ten days, on the nightside it is common for all-encompassing snows to form near midnight. The dayside however, is often in excess of 50 degrees. This averages out to around nine degrees C. The water of Arbav is concentrated into small seas and oceans, which are scattered around the globe. In between the oceans, there is dust and rocks. Arbav's surface is barren, but with a breathable atmosphere.

Demographics

Currently, there are 31.8 billion individuals on the surface of Arbav. Most are Ialkor, though some are Pasande and a minority are Delona. Nesor and Uyaron make up 99% of the last 1%. The all species that are not Ialkor live in hab-bubbles on the surface, tailored to their species. The largest of these, Kalkooro, houses over twenty million Pasande!

The largest city on the planet, Velentoris, which is also the capital of the planet, houses on hundred million Ialkor, with only a few hundred thousand Pasande and Delona.
