== Appearance: ==
Lesser reapers as implied are smaller than the closely related [[Grand Reaper]], Being roughly the size of a great white shark but they are more slender than a Grand Reaper. They sport a pair of scythe-like forelimbs and mandibles though nowhere as large as those on a Grand Reaper, their tail and flippers are long and thin but they are very delicate. They have an aquamarine underside and a dark blue topside with a brightly colored spot on their head ranging from blues, purples, and pinks.

== Behavior: ==
These solitary creatures like to spend the day resting and once it turns to night they emerge to hunt. They are quite fierce when disturbed and will ruthlessly attack anything they perceive as a threat. The only time they would choose flight over fight is when said threat is a larger, more powerful reaper.

== Abilities / Traits: ==
The edge of the forelimbs are covered in small serrations which they use to leave lacerations all across prey and foe alike. They can maintain speeds of 50mph for up to 1 1/2 hours.

== Ecology / Role: ==
They are solitary pursuit predators that mainly live in large coral reefs and claim one specific cluster of rocks and coral as their territory. They prey upon small creatures such as the reef kyte and sea myte and once prey is spotted, they lunge at them and if they miss they will pursue the prey until they catch it or get exhausted. Though they can often out speed predators they do occasionally fall victim to other lesser and grand reapers. Despite the risks of predation, opportunistic reapers will follow grand reapers in the chance of getting scraps, they will also happily consume any large animals that have passed and sinked to the bottom with these two scenarios being some of the only times lesser reapers will group up together. When females lay eggs, they will search for a suitable spot to lay them which could include corals, rocks, and the large empty husks of grand reapers where which the eggs are laid in clusters of 7-9.

There is a myth that when a swarm of baby reapers emerge from the skeleton of a grand reaper it is actually the grand reaper rebirthing into several small ones to continue its life.
