Description:

Acellaris is an M-type star located in the outer regions of the Ezith Gap within the Zelia galaxy. The star's estimated age exceeds 90 billion years and is predicted to become a white dwarf in the next 11 billion years. Acellaris is classified as a flare star and periodically experiences a dramatic increase in luminosity and radiation that is visible across the system and decimates the inner planets.

Ten planets orbit the star, equally divided into gaseous and terrestrial bodies. Around 240,702 asteroids and have been catalogued in two asteroid belts in the inner and outer regions respectively. Three bodies in the Acellaris system have been discovered to sustain organic life, of which Zarael is the only one to harbor an intricate multicellular biosphere, spanning across the planet's daylight zone.

8 - Chiona:

Chiona is the seventh planet of Acellaris. It completes an orbit once every 5.2 years at a distance of 2.21 astronomical units. The planet's composition includes water ice and various silicates, with extensive seas of liquid nitrogen detected mainly across the southern hemisphere. Chiona is shrouded by a dense nitrogen-based atmosphere possessing a global cloud layer, reaching pressures of up to 17 atmospheres. The surface temperature has been recorded as low as -192 °C.
