Lumi is a sparsely populated icy body encircling the ice giant Talv in the barren outskirts of the Tythel system in Mareina. It is largely made up of silicate rocks and enveloped by a crust of water ice. From orbit, Lumi appears as a white, slightly blue marble, interspersed by striking, darker lineae that stretch across the landscape. The gravitational pull of Talv has largely guarded Lumi against asteroid strikes, and subsequently, impact craters are sparse.
The inhabiting people live in vast, open cityscapes dug into the ice, a way to protect against the harsh radiation. Sturdy, pressure-resistant mining sites have been constructed across Lumi's desolate subglacial ocean, excavating rare metallic ores to be processed in refineries built in the urban centers.

Orbital
Külmuv is Lumi's only space station, established in a low-altitude equatorial orbit. Measuring three kilometers in length, it functions as the moon's central transport hub. Thousands of shuttles depart to Lumi's major population centers every day, transporting workers and tourists alike.
Terrestrial
Lumi's population resides in sprawling cityscapes carved deep into the ice, where it acts as a natural shield against cosmic radiation. These cities are built vertically, incorporating vast, open spaces to prevent the onset of generational agoraphobia. Projected ceilings are frequently found in Lumine cities, designed to simulate a natural day-night cycle that helps its residents maintain a healthy internal clock.
In total, sixteen cities have been established on Lumi, the most notable of whom are Lumel, Ael, and Kõl, each harboring over a million people. The moon's capital, Pakane, is home to three and a half million people.
