Homeworld of the Cervantes. Discovered in 9998 by humanity in the Drake Galaxy.

Physical
A tidally locked warm E-Class
world orbiting a Class-L dwarf star, this world (RS 0-6-229376-1349-912-8-10208722-96
in 9.7.4 beta patch 5), part of a brown dwarf and white dwarf binary system, has a diameter of 8937.6 km and a gravity of 0.7 G. With a small semimajor axis
of only 0.08 AU it has an orbital period of 32.3 days.

The world has two moons. The
planet is 5.5 billion years old.

Climate
Cervan has an atmospheric
pressure of 1.4 ATM and a mean temperature of 62 °C. As it is a tidally locked
world, the planet has no day or night, creating two distinct zones. One zone is
the sunward side which is warmer.

As is customary with most
tidally locked worlds a massive storm slowly spirals near where the sun is the
highest in the sky. The other side is completely covered in ice and is
constantly dark.

There is much more land than
water and the two largest sources of water are almost constantly in the path of
the superstorm. There are some small seas near where the planetary ice sheet
forms.

The superstorm is partially
responsible for keeping the atmosphere on the night side from subliming as it
blows the warm air all over the planet.

Life
The plant life on Cervan, due to
its being underneath a redder star, has evolved to be able to live off of the
reduced radiation its parent sun gives off, making them darker than terrestrial
plants. The animals have never had to evolve the need to hibernate as the year
is just over a terrestrial month in length.

There is more abundant life on
the day side but the life on the night side is much more resilient to colder
temperatures and the dark. Most night side life is bioluminescent.
