Dunacia

Template:Ambrosia: World Dunacia is a hot desert world, and the third planet orbiting to the binary star system on Kalista-Kali, located in the Auralumina System.

Overview

Dunacia is a relatively empty world of sandy wastelands and dunes, however Dunacia has a high amount of metallic elements, the most abundant of which are copper, and the second being tin. Dunacia also has many large cities on it, as it is a pretty large planet with a diameter of 10,656 km, alongside that the mass of this world is 0.72M⊕, which gives it a gravity of 0.7G. No gravity generators are needed as 0.7G is bearable for most species. Big cities residing on the planet use massive machines that collect water from water vapor in the planet's atmosphere.

Life

Dunacia has an interesting ecosystem, as most of the species residing on the world are various species of small sandworms, nevertheless there are also bigger sandworms too, they just are rarer. Some species also resemble scorpions and tarantulas.

All Dunacian life is purely silicon-based, and they have interesting chemistry. Most of the fauna breathes in Carbon Dioxide, and breathes out a bit of Methane.

There also exist alien oases, containing a huge amount of flora around them, just no water on the surface. The flora uses their extremely long roots to consume water in deep underground water pockets which itself are rather uncommon on Dunacia. Flora without any roots uses their leaves to filter water from the water vapor prevalent in the world's atmosphere.

Settlements

Aero Spaceport

The Aero Spaceport is the capital of Dunacia, as it's the most important and the biggest city on the world. While not as advanced as cities on other planets, Aero is still culturally significant, as it's built around the first ship that crash-landed on this world. Aero is also in many ways a massive spaceport, as tens of ships pass through this spaceport per day.
