Overview

Haven is one of the two primary settings within the Scope of Imagindarium's Creation, centered on the world of Haven, the primary plane of the Mavimyst realm, and the surrounding Thirteen Realms of Thavma. Created by LordSkorne7, Its genre is set as a high fantasy; meaning it takes place in a primarily medieval-esc setting with concepts such as Magic, Dragons, and the forces of Light and Darkness

Haven is in a unique position within the wider canon of Imagindarium's Creation as it is nearly wholly isolated from the on-goings of its sister-setting in that of Ambrosia. As such; only sparse direct-elements are shared between the two, with most Ambrosian concepts being isolated to the far ancient past prior to the active on-goings of Haven's collective storylines.

The setting of Haven has many traditional fantasy tropes such as:

  • Kingdoms and Empires operating as feudal societies
  • Medieval-era technologies such as swords, castles, bow and arrows, chariots, nautical vessels and torch light.
  • Many fairytale-esc races and creatures such as Elves, Dwarves, Dragons etc
  • Ancient and powerful Divine-Gods worshiped by the mortal inhabitants of the world; shaping them to their cultural perspectives.

However; whilst many classical fantasy tropes exist within Haven, it often strives to make each present themselves in a fashion unique to the concepts that Imagindarium as a wider setting provides, with most embodying a select aspect of the overall themes of wider Imagindarium.

Major Themes

Haven is an extremely vast a varied setting, and as such; it has a themes dependent on the given subject matter. However; certain common uniting themes can be found amongst all things contained therein, most often ones which mirror the themes of both Ambrosia, and Imagindarium as a whole.

The two most prominent themes of Haven as a whole is that between the eternal battle between both the forces of Light and Darkness, and the struggle of supremacy amidst mortals and immortals. Collectively; most events in the histories of the world are born from conflict driven by these two conceptual rivalries, although the reasoning for their occurrence often varies, it remains untied by this overarching theme.
