Alexer
Backstory
Alexer was a small Atrociraptor marshalli, born into a proud lineage of fishermen. Though a dromaeosaurid, his family thrived by the water, crafting tools to hunt, catch, and prepare fish. From a litter of four, Alexer was the only son—a rarity in his tribe. By tradition, every son of the chief was destined to inherit the throne, and so Alexer was raised under the watchful guidance of the elders, trained to one day rule.
But his siblings, consumed by envy and greed, could not bear the thought of him becoming king. They conspired in secret, their plan cloaked as an accident.
One day, when the elders sent Alexer and his siblings to fish along the Great River, the trap was sprung. His brothers and sisters pinned him down, stripped him of his tools, and hurled him into the rushing bay. He thrashed and fought, but the current dragged him under until darkness claimed him.
When he awoke, he lay upon the sands of an unknown shore, weak and disoriented. His strength failed him again, and he collapsed. Hours passed before he was discovered by a wandering group—(name still undecided)—who carried him back and nursed him to health.
From that day forward, Alexer became one of them. He lent his skills as a fisherman to provide for his new kin, mastering the seas as he once had the rivers. In time, he forged a weapon to honor his past: a spiked fishing rod of copper, wood, silver, and leather, both a hunter’s tool and a warrior’s arm.
