Template:InfoboxPlanetUmor Titanarum is the seventh planet of the Umor System in the Mid Arm of the Ambrosia Galaxy. It is a frozen T-Class world that harbors life beneath its frozen surface. It served as the birthplace for the Nagala, a late type two species and also served as the capital world of the Nagala Empire.
Overview
Umor Titanarum is a planet that has had quite the varied history. Originally it served as the home world and capital of the Nagala, a late type two species that held control of around thirteen hundred star-systems at their peak, and was the most important world to their society, with a staggering population of around one hundred and eighty trillion Nagala at the aforementioned species' peak.
Later on, it would fall under the Etymology's domain after they annexed both the Nagala, and the Havenites, a rival species to the Nagala that they were warring with at the time in 2,488,109,000 BCE. While it was a member-world of the Etymology, it would almost immediately lose all political relevancy it once had, as the Nagala were not a prolific member-species of the Etymology, with it only being important to Nagala in particular.
And of course, like all worlds that were under the Etymology's domain, it would suffer the horrors of the Red Galaxy Event in 604,000,000 BCE, when the C.Y.R.E.X set the world ablaze. However unlike most worlds that were attacked, a significant portion of the planet's native life would survive due to them being burrowed deep beneath the planet's icy surface. Unfortunately the Nagala would not fall under this category, as all Nagala that were planet-side at the time were destroyed.
Afterwards, it would be discovered by the Ambrosia Alliance of United Systems who, when they discovered the many ancient Nagala ruins that dot the planet's surface, along with the now ancient surviving life forms underneath the planet's ice, would construct several research stations across Umor Titanarum.
Geography and Climate
The geography of Umor Titanrum is much alike many Titan worlds in the Ambrosia Galaxy, with many broken icy landscapes separate by a liquid ocean of some kind. With Umor Titanurm in specific, its icy surface is made up of frozen carbon, otherwise known as: "dry ice," which is separated by large oceans of liquid nitrogen. These landmasses vary in size widely, with some appearing as large as your typical continent, while others appear like small islands, isles, and archipelagos.
They are constantly moved around thanks to the shifting of the planet's oceans, making new landmasses with two separate ones connecting with each other, while causing others to disappear, sinking into the ocean itself. The geography of each landmass varies as much as the landmass's diameter, with some areas having large mountain regions, while others are as flat as an ice sheet. And thanks to the constant shifting of the landscape, very few surface craters remain on the surface as it is constantly replenished.
The climate of Umor Titanarum is extremely frigid, with a mean average temperature of around negative one hundred and seventy-nine Celsius, it is very inhospitable for many lifeforms of more temperate worlds. Even some of its own native life needs to seek refuge from within its icy shell, where thanks to interactions with the planet's core, it is much warmer then the surface.
Other then the temperature itself however, the overall climate of Umor Titanarum is quite calm, with slow wind speeds, and very few dynamic atmosphere interactions. On rare occasions, it is known to rain liquid nitrogen from its nitrogen cloud tops.
Population and Culture
During the peak of the Nagala Empire's independent history, Umor Titanarum held the largest population of the entire aforementioned interstellar empire, with it being their home world and capital, that shouldn't come as a shock, with an absolutely massive population of around eighty nine trillion Nagala.
And once the Nagala were annexed into the Etymology, Umor Titanarum's population would increase significantly as many species who were also native to titan worlds flocked to the newly claimed planet, shooting the global population to a staggering one hundred and eighty trillion, though the vast majority of the population was Nagala.
After it was discovered by the Ambrosia Alliance of United Systems, small research outposts would be established in areas of interest to the aforementioned intragalatic government consisting of scientists and their families, along with small business owners, leading to Umor Titanarum holding a small population of around twenty five thousand.
Like all worlds under the Nagala Empire's control, the culture of Umor Titanarum was completely revolved around the the strange esoteric hive mind behavior of its native inhabitants which was centered around a rigid hierarchy selected at birth, with the highest echelon of their society being the Nagalain Emperor or Empress. And once it was under the Etymology's tenure, the overall culture of the planet would be relatively untouched, as the Nagala were left to their own respective culture, with the non-Nagalaian inhabitants simply following their own respective cultures.
While under the Ambrosia Alliance of United System's care, the overall culture of the planet's populace would be solely centered around the study of the countless Nagalain and Etymology ruins of the once large cities that dotted the landscape, as well as the few surviving subglaical life forms of Umor Titanarum.
History
Formation
Umor Titanarum would form alongside its parent star, Umor in 9,697,246,210 BCE from the debris created by the planetary accretion disk caused by the aforementioned star's formation. Its four major moons form alongside it as well. As it formed, it would slowly begin to cool down, until' it would eventually have a temperature reflective to how far away it was from its parent star, making it a frigid titan world and allowing for large liquid nitrogen oceans to flow across its fairly young surface.
Shortly after its formation, in around 9,690,250,000 BCE, its gravity would attract several comets into its orbit, turning them into captured dwarf moons. However like many captured satellites, its gravity would eventually lose hold of the comets and they would begin to plunge towards the planet, ultimately entering within its Roche Limit and being torn apart by its own respective gravity, turning the now former dwarf moons into a fairly large planetary ring system.
Evolution of the Nagala
Much later, life would begin to appear within its oceans in 6,500,620,004 BCE, and it would quickly begin to spread itself to its landmass, as well as the very atmosphere. This life, while first falling under the unicellular category, would begin to evolve more complex, with it finally reaching the multicellular stage. This continuous evolution would reach its apotheoses in 2,600,000,000 BCE when the intelligent species known as the: "Nagala" fully evolved.
The Nagala themselves would prove to have a profound affect on their home world, as they would populate all corners of the globe, as well as construct massive towering cities, spanning millions of kilometres in diameter. They would also control all of the planet's natural processes thanks to their advancement to a late type one species.
Red Galaxy Event
As the Nagala entered within the Safe Haven Wars with their rivals, the Havenites, Umor Titanarum itself would remain untouched by the conflict, as the Havenites were unable to even attempt to attack it. However, once the Etymology ascertained that Umor Titanarum was the capital world of the Nagala, they would begin to orbitally bombard it in 488,109,000 BCE, destroying many cities across its surface and killing trillions of Nagala. Then, control of Umor Titanarum would be given to the Etymology, as well as the rest of the Nagala Empire's holdings.
In 64,000,000 BCE, Umor Titanarum would fall under the faithful wrath of the C.Y.R.E.X during the galaxy wide extinction event known as the: "Red Galaxy Event," As it happened, the aforementioned A.I. would place large satellite arrays in orbit around the planet, artificially heating its respective atmosphere to a crushing sixty thousand degrees Celsius. This would cause its oceans to evaporate, and it would also kill all life on the surface. However, around fifteen different species at the time existed within a layer of the planet's icy surface that had sufficient protection from the chaos being unleashed above them, allowing them to survive while others did not. This included the Nagala, as they died along with all others across the Ambrosia Galaxy, causing the aforementioned species to go extinct along with them.
Afterwards, the fifteen respective species that survived the attack would continue to thrive in their icy abode. The planet would also begin to harbor nitrogen oceans once again as several more comets would collide with the surface, ultimately melting and creating vast nitrogen seas in 50,902,040 BCE.
Rediscovery
Later on, in 10,560 CE, Umor Titanarum would be discovered by the Ambrosia Alliance of United Systems upon a survey of the Mid Arm. Once discovered, an exploratory probe would be sent to the planet as signs of life were detected by the survey, and once it was fully discovered, a small group of planetary scientists would be sent to Umor Titanarum. when they arrived, they would also discover the massive forgotten and destroyed Etymology ruins, not an uncommon sight to the Ambrosia Alliance at this point. As such, many more scientist would go to the planet in order to study both the ruins, and some of the oldest still surviving Ambrosian life known.
