The Iriat Galaxy is a small dwarf irregular galaxy orbiting the Flower Galaxy, located roughly 10 million ly from the Milky Way. It has a small number of intelligent species, only one of which has achieved interstellar travel, the Free Coalition of Aligned Dra'Konia. Because of this relative scarcity of intelligent life, the Iriat Galaxy is not very well known. However, the Coalition lends it some fame by being the main inventor of the Spike Drive, a very efficient and very fast method of traveling huge distances, which has led to its adoption throughout the Flower Galaxy.
