Arbav is a temperate desertic moon with a few inland seas. This world gave rise to the Ialkor, an avian species that has since grew to cover the entire of Eulciar.
History
Arbav formed as a small planet orbiting close to the orbit of the gas giant Sirula. Within a billions years, Arbav was captured as a large moon of Sirula. This change is largely believed to be the 'kickstart' that life needed. More energy was pumped into Arbav's system, and abiogenesis occurred. Almost immediately, single celled organisms arrived. The abiogenesis occurred on land, something which is still obvious today with the lack of life in the lakes and seas. After a few hundred million years, the organisms merged into multicellular creatures. Soon afterwards life took to the skies. A peculiar aspect of life on Arbav is that is never developed plants or fungi. It only had animal and insectoid life. Life in the skies was tough, and very competitive. This is the main arena for life on Arbav. It had the perfect conditions for intelligence.
Within ten millions years, the first modern Ialkor arrived on scene. They quickly developed a nomadic civilizations, with most members never touching the ground. They sped run their civilization, reaching the atomic age within a thousand years of the agricultural revolution.
Soon they industrialised the ground, stripping it of it's life. They build many orbital habitats to contain the remnants of the biosphere, but it was too late. Almost half of the original life on Arbav is extinct because of the actions of the Ialkor. Mortified by what they had done, the Ialkor set out to protect the remaining life on their world, and when they found the other four worlds, the life on their surfaces. The rest is history.
Biology
Arbav has a carbon-based biosphere, similar to other worlds like Aegyn and Vecroxmer. However, there is a complete absence of plants on the surface of Arbav. They just never evolved.
