The Sol System is the home system to not only humanity, but all solspawn, hence the name. Being the origin point of civilization, it is an obvious cultural and political center and also boasts the highest population of any star system in the galaxy at 2.4 quadrillion - more than both outer galactic regions combined. Each and every moon, planet, megastructure and dwarf planet throughout the system is bustling with life and has their own unique history of habitation, often reaching back thousands of years. Being so important to solspawn civilization, the Sol System is one of if not the single most well protected system in the galaxy, having remained unscathed even after the Galactic War. On top of this, it is also a popular spot for tourism, whether it be via volping or actually making the trek to solspawn-kind's original system.

Sol

Sol is the only star in the Sol System and is what allowed for life to evolve in the first place. It is an average size and has just the right conditions, combined with the arrangement of the planets, to allow for life. Sol has played a very important role in several cultural aspects of solspawn-kind, including that it is the basis for many old calendar systems, including the Gregorian calendar which is still used today as a universal galactic timekeeping system. Sol also powers the Solar dyson sphere which stretches just over 1.1 AU in diameter, placing its outer edge past Earth's orbit.
