Aya is a binary system in the distant Nebulon region of Midonia, made up of Ayatar, a class B8 V main-sequence star, and Ayamar, a class A3.5 V main-sequence star. Initially a waypoint to Arwall Maba, the discovery of unusual lifeforms in the system ushered in countless researchers and tourists. The governing force in Aya is Orbital Intergalactic.
The stars were discovered in 7596 by the exploration ship Ayterion, after whom the system takes its name.
Orbital Bodies
Sirona
Description
The ice giant of Sirona is the second planet orbiting the sapphire suns of Ayatar and Ayamar, deep in the Nebulon region of Midonia. Discovered in 7596, the ice giant would be overlooked until the discovery of Arwall Maba four years later, an event which shaped Aya into a waypoint to the lush garden world. A subsequent deeper survey of the planetary system led to the discovery of rich, previously unnoticed resource deposits on the moons of Sirona, and as a result, the public interest in Aya began to rise.
Luia
Description
Luia is the farthest planet orbiting the bright stars of Aya in Midonia's outlying Nebulon region. Deep, briny oceans of ammonia envelop the frigid planet, broken up by vast glacial landmasses, giving rise to desolate ice sheets, spectacular archipelagos, and massive ice shelves. An ancient collision gave rise to Luia's vibrant set of rings, and is likely the reason for the planet's lack of natural satellites.
