Description:

Ychira is an entity of unknown origin positioned approximately 7.427 astronomical units from Acellaris in the direction of the galactic core. It has assumed the form of a black hole enveloped by a bright, slightly blue-tinted accretion disk. Any visual contact with the entity leads to an intense feeling of paranoia and impending doom in less than two days. Several subjects have exhibited a loss of lucidity a week after exposure, ultimately ending in suicide. The disorder has been internally recognized as Void Psychosis.

The entity was discovered in 1253 by an amateur astronomer visiting the Res Point Observatory in the mountains of southeastern Zesthosia. The monumental discovery was quickly published online. A reported 241 individuals had suffered from Ychira' exposure and were involuntarily hospitalized prior to our awareness. The public has since been placed under the assumption that Ychira was a hoax.

Void Psychosis:

The exact moment a subject's subconscious mind registers the presence of Ychira, they are beyond saving. Pictures of the entity are safe to observe for no more than three minutes. Written descriptions seem to have no effect. To this day, there are no known treatments for Void Psychosis.

Commonly encountered symptoms of Void Psychosis include:

• Paranoia.
• Visual hallucinations.
• Auditory hallucinations.
• Sense of impending doom.
• Loss of lucidity.
• Suicide.

Anomalous Properties:

Ychira exhibits several anomalous properties:

• It is undetectable beyond visual observation.
• The gravity of Ychira does not influence any objects in Acellaris.
• Ychira occasionally 'jumps' to various locations in its vicinity.

Containment Procedures:

In order to protect the public, the S.A.F. published several scientific articles that would 'disprove' the existence of Ychira. Alongside several explanations, it anchored on the fact that the presence of a black hole of that mass in Acellaris would completely destabilize planetary orbits.

Three months later, nearly every mention of Ychira in online searches has been obscured. Any discussions surrounding Ychira are actively being redacted.

Theories:

The leading theory, composed by researcher Allercia Seon, states that Ychira is a shard of an unrealized timeline that has intruded into ours, whose anomalous properties are explained by it not properly integrating into our reality. Void Psychosis is likely an intense case of Zeri'lao, a deep sense of unease that manifests after exposure to a temporally foreign object. Exposure to Ychira ties the observer to other timelines, and is the reason for the hallucinations and, eventually, the loss of lucidity that accompany Void Psychosis.
