D'Naevium is a temperate planet in the Alko Galaxy, home to the Ror Units, and the Capital of the Alkan Intendency. This planet has one of the most unique biologies in the universe, with about 45% of all speciesTemplate:Capital Planetbeing composed of nanobots, and over 67% having some form of nanobots inside of them, more here.
The Alkan Intendency
D'Naevium is the capital planet of the Alkan Intendency, a large nation of ten thousand galaxies. The planet has a population of 1.4 Billion due to strict measures protecting the exotic and incredibly rare life of the planet. Most of the inhabitants were moved off-world to the nearby gas giant Tewvas.
The only people that live on the planet are those involved in governing the Intendency. The three-kilometer tall parliament building is the chief landmark of the planet and attracts billions of tourists per year.
The palace of Unit I is also a huge tourist attraction. Although, it doesn't actually dwell in that specific location, it represents the grandiose position that the intelligence has had for well over 150,000 years.
Unique Life
4.5 Billion years ago, an advanced civilization developed on this planet. It was capable of at least interplanetary flight as shards of ancient plastic were found orbiting three planets in the system.
Unfortunately for this civilization, they managed to wipe themselves out with self-replicating nanobots. These nanobots could reproduce with metal of all kinds, so the civilization lost all of its technology.
The nanobots flooded the ecosystem, most likely choking out photosynthesis and killing almost all of the life on the planet.
The civilization and all of the beings in the planet were dead within three years. The only life that remained was anaerobic bacteria. The nanobots were unable to process impure rocks or biological material, so the nanobots ended up dying in droves. The population stabilized at ten percent for over a billion years. Making the nanobots a species on the planet.
Three Billion years later, the nanobots evolved into a stunning array of life (More on that evolution and how they did it here.) Template:GalleryTemplate
