Falaros, the first planet of Crimelios, is an immense, tidally locked gas giant that helps bind the entire system in place. Its bright orange bands of clouds are some of the deadliest environments in the system, with windspeeds regularly reaching up to two hundred kilometers per hour. Encircling Crimelios at a distance of merely eight million kilometers, the temperatures reache a little over three hundred and fifty degrees. By all accounts, it is completely uninhabitable to nearly all forms of life.

In spite of that, Falaros provides the main supply of hydrogen for the Unity of Twilight, a vital spaceship fuel. Since its discovery ninety-six years ago, only two extraction sites have been established in the gas giant's cloudscapes: Aero and Chio. The pair is located near the terminator in Falaros' northern hemisphere, remotely operated from Ignos, a manned station on Watchtower VI.

Fifteen captured asteroids orbit Falaros, separated into the inner Watchtower and outer Terminus orbital groups. Additionally, a cloud of cosmic gasses and dust particles enshrouds the planet's vicinity, lending a faint crimson tone to the spacescapes.
