Overview
The Adranus system, formerly known as Luhman 16, is a binary brown dwarf system located 6.5 light-years (2 parsecs) from the Sol system. It consists of two relatively low-mass brown dwarfs, Adranus (Luhman 16 A) and Kresnik (Luhman 16 B), separated by approximately 3.5 AU. The system was renamed in 2038. Adranus is classified as an L-class brown dwarf, yet it is notably lighter than typical for its class, with a mass of only 34 Jupiter masses compared to the usual 50–75.
The system contains 17 additional planets, including 6 that are circumbinary.
Planetary Systems
Adranus

Adranus is orbited by 6 planets and hosts a population of 98.16 million inhabitants.
- Peklenc: A mini-neptune orbiting Adranus every day, precisely. Distance: 0.0062147 AU. Population: 1.7 million inhabitants.
- Barastyr: A tidally locked Venus-like super-Earth weighing as much as Peklenc but only 55% its size. It possesses an atmosphere approximately 600 times thicker than Earth's, resulting in surface temperatures around 860°C and a dark red glow from beneath its clouds. Distance: 0.009866 AU. Population: 60,000 inhabitants.
- Degei: A tidally locked, Mars-like planet with an atmosphere primarily composed of water vapor and sulfur compounds such as hydrogen sulfide and sulfur dioxide. Distance: 0.015662 AU. Population: 4.1 million inhabitants.
- Tlaloc: A tidally locked waterworld slightly larger than Earth with a relatively breathable atmosphere. Distance: 0.02486 AU. Population: 13.3 million inhabitants.
- Atlahua: A tidally locked ice world with rings and an unusually large number of domed cities. Distance: 0.062651 AU. Population: 29.5 million inhabitants.
- Ehecatl: A large super-neptune, the most distant planet orbiting Adranus. Distance: 0.0994584625 AU. Population: 52.9 million inhabitants.
Kresnik
Kresnik is orbited by 5 planets.
- Xolotl: A Mars-sized planet orbiting extremely close to Kresnik. It is tidally locked, with one side covered in lava and the other in ice, completing an orbit in only 10 hours. Distance: 0.0034 AU. No inhabitants.
- Danu: The capital of the system, a non-tidally locked Earth-sized terra planet located within Kresnik's habitable zone. Distance: 0.00856853 AU. Population: 316.8 million inhabitants.
- Toci: A large, puffy ocean planet undergoing terraforming since 2657. Distance: 0.0136 AU. Population: 85.3 million inhabitants.
- Borvo: A cold rocky planet resembling a larger version of Mercury. Distance: 0.021594 AU. Population: 11.3 million inhabitants.
- Vasio: A gas dwarf planet. Distance: 0.05442 AU. Population: 34.8 million inhabitants.
=== Circumbinary Planets ===

Missions
The first manned mission to the Adranus system arrived in 2136, landing on Danu. Subsequent manned missions initially continued to focus on Danu, with the first manned landing on another celestial body, Tlaloc, occurring in 2150. Over time, human settlement expanded across the entire system.
